A "PRIMETIME LIVE" INVESTIGATION PUTS HEALTH CLUBS UNDER THE MICROSCOPE AND FINDS THAT THERE'S MORE GROWING AT THE GYM THAN JUST MUSCLES

Also: An Exclusive Interview with Slain Actress Lana Clarkson's Family, Speaking Out for the First Time About Her Life and Tragic Death

"Primetime Live" Airs Thursday, January 13 on ABC

Many people flock to gyms at this time of year to make good on their New Year's resolutions, but Chris Cuomo reports that while they may get more fit, they could be doing so in a fertile breeding ground for various types of germs. In this "Primetime Live" hidden camera investigation, swabs were taken from machines, weights and common areas at several gyms in New York and Los Angeles. Whether they were samples from neighborhood gyms or swanky workout spots, the results were disturbingly similar - many surfaces were found with germs, including one specimen at one club, a bacterium that can lead to major health problems. Cuomo talks with experts about the findings and what gym-goers can do to better protect themselves. "Primetime Live" airs THURSDAY, JANUARY 13 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Also: In an exclusive interview with John Quiqones, the mother and sister of actress Lana Clarkson discuss her tragic death and defend her memory, which they say has unfairly come under attack. They tell Quiqones that Lana was much more than a "B-movie actress," as she's often been described in media reports - she was a loving daughter and caring sister with a twenty-year career as a working actress. Two years ago, Clarkson was shot dead during a pre-dawn visit to the home of legendary rock producer Phil Spector. Spector has been charged with murder, but claimed in a magazine interview that Clarkson took her own life. Donna and Fawn Clarkson say Spector's claim is "preposterous" and that all they want now is to finally hear the truth.

DIANE SAWYER, CHRIS CUOMO, CYNTHIA MCFADDEN and JOHN QUINONES are the anchors of "Primetime Live." SHELLEY ROSS is the executive producer.
