BARBARA WALTERS SPEAKS WITH DUAL OSCAR NOMINEE JAMIE FOXX, FUNNYMAN WILL FERRELL AND "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" HOTTIE TERI HATCHER FOR THE 24th ANNUAL ACADEMY AWARDS EDITION OF "THE BARBARA WALTERS SPECIAL"

Jamie Foxx, Will Ferrell and Teri Hatcher are three actors that have emerged as this year's superstars. Each one sits down with Barbara Walters for a fascinating hour on "The Barbara Walters Special," airing on the evening of the Academy Awards, SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 27 (the special precedes the Academy Awards on the East Coast at 7:00 p.m., ET and immediately follows the Academy Awards on the West Coast) on the ABC Television Network.

Jamie Foxx joins a select list of actors to be nominated for an Academy Award in two separate categories. Nominated for Best Actor for his portrayal of the title role in "Ray" and a Supporting Actor nod in the thriller "Collateral," Foxx discusses his difficult childhood, having been abandoned by his parents and raised by his grandparents.

In his first in-depth interview, Will Ferrell tells Ms. Walters that he would do almost anything for a laugh. They talk about how his career catapulted in two years from being just another cast member on "Saturday Night Live" to commanding $20 million per picture.

And Teri Hatcher shares with Ms. Walters what it has been like for her to have gone from Hollywood has-been to the latest "it" girl.

"The Barbara Walters Special" is a Barwall Production, produced and directed by Bill Geddie.
