"20/20" EXAMINES COMMON SUMMER MYTHS, AIRING FRIDAY, JULY 15 ON ABC

Whether heading out on vacation or just enjoying the summer months, "20/20" viewers will learn some cold hard facts about ten of the hottest summer myths, as the newsmagazine continues its popular myth-busting series, "Myths, Lies and Straight Talk." True or false? -- The biggest danger at the beach is sharks; barbeque food is not healthful; you should wait to swim after eating; premium gas will make your car perform better. ABC News correspondents explore these popular myths and others on "20/20," FRIDAY, JULY 15 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

"20/20" anchors Elizabeth Vargas and John Stossel, along with ABC News correspondents Deborah Roberts, Don Dahler, Bob Brown, Dr. Tim Johnson and JuJu Chang, look at several popular myths, including:

* Food that is barbequed is not healthful
* Swimming immediately after eating is dangerous
* Premium gasoline is better for your car
* Oysters are aphrodisiacs
* Blondes have more fun
* Moisturizers prevent wrinkles
* Sharks are the biggest danger at the beach
