SHERYL CROW AND LANCE ARMSTRONG SPEAK CANDIDLY TO ELIZABETH VARGAS, ON "20/20," FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16

Plus: Martin Bashir Profiles Actor Alan Alda, One of Television's Most Enduring and Beloved Stars; Deborah Roberts Goes Home with Jazz Musician Wynton Marsalis to New Orleans; Don Dahler Reports on a 22-Year-Old Man Who Married a 14-Year-Old Girl; John Stossel Says "Give Me a Break"

Grammy Award-winning rock star Sheryl Crow and seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong speaks candidly to Elizabeth Vargas about life, love and their plans to marry, on "20/20," FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 16 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

Also: Actor Alan Alda helped establish "M*A*S*H" as one of the most popular shows on television during the 1970s and '80s. Since then his career has continued to blossom, culminating this year, at the age of 69, in a triple crown of acting nominations - an Oscar, an Emmy and a Tony. He tells ABC News Correspondent Martin Bashir that the nominations are "...encouragement. It means that I'm trying to get better and it means I'm making progress." Alda, whose memoirs were published this week, speaks candidly to Bashir about his life, from growing up as the son of a burlesque theater actor and paranoid schizophrenic mother, to becoming a star. Alda also talks about his perspective on life after nearly dying two years ago. "I've been given another life now. And what am I going to do about that? Everything I do since then in my private life, in my professional life, is making the best of each of those moments. I don't waste any time, even on trivial things. I still do trivial things. But I enjoy them."

And: Jazz great Wynton Marsalis shares his personal thoughts about the devastation of his hometown, New Orleans, when he visits the city with ABC News Correspondent Deborah Roberts.

Plus: Crystal and Matt have been together as a couple for over two years. Last May they got married and, just a few weeks ago, Crystal gave birth to a baby girl. Crystal and Matt Koso are a picture of happiness except for one big problem: Crystal is 14, Matt is 22, and the state of Nebraska -- where they live -- says their romance is, in fact, statutory rape. So the two got married in Kansas, where it is legal to marry at 12 with parental consent. But when they returned to live in their home state, Nebraska Attorney General Jon Bruning indicted Matt for first degree sexual assault. "When grown men are choosing to have sex with pre-teen girls, they're breaking the law... and when pre-teen girls are choosing to have sex with grown men, it's a mistake. We need to protect our kids... I have a duty to prosecute grown men who have sex with little girls," Bruning tells ABC News Correspondent Don Dahler. Dahler also speaks with Crystal, Matt and their moms about their relationship.

Additionally: John Stossel's "Give Me a Break": Unable to afford to furnish his new apartment, 21-year-old Tempe resident Jose Avila constructed a desk, bed, couch, dining table and chairs completely out of Federal Express boxes and packing materials and then built a web site touting his creations. But Federal Express was not impressed and has demanded that he cease and desist.

ABCNEWS.com, the 24-hour news service of ABC News and part of the ABC Internet Group, will provide companion programming to Friday's broadcast.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and John Stossel. The executive producer is David Sloan. (CLOSED CAPTIONED)
