ABC�S NFL MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS LIVE -- MONDAY, OCTOBER 10 AT 9 P.M., ET ON ABC TELEVISION NETWORK

ABC�s NFL Monday Night Football, the most successful primetime series in television history, continues its 36th season with a great match-up featuring two of the hottest teams in the AFC, as LaDainian Tomlinson and the San Diego Chargers host Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Kick-off from Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego, CA, is MONDAY, OCTOBER 10 at 9 p.m., ET, on the ABC Television Network.

The 2005 schedule continues on MONDAY, OCTOBER 17, as Mark Bulger and the St. Louis Rams travel to Indianapolis to take on Peyton Manning and the Colts.

PITTSBURGH STEELERS VS. SAN DIEGO CHARGERS SERIES NOTES:
Pittsburgh holds an 18-7 all-time edge in this series over San Diego, including four straight wins and eight of the last 10 games. The last time these two teams met was December 21, 2003, with the Steelers winning 40-24.

Pittsburgh Steelers (2-1, 2nd Place in AFC North)
The Steelers are 31-20 all-time on Monday Night Football, including an impressive 16-6 during the Bill Cowher era. The Steelers� 31 MNF wins ranks third in the AFC behind the Dolphins (39) and the Raiders (36).

San Diego Chargers (2-2, T-2nd Place in AFC West)
This is the Chargers� 28th appearance on Monday Night Football. They have 14 wins and 13 losses on MNF and this is their only MNF game in 2005. This marks the Chargers� first home MNF game since 1996. The last scheduled Chargers MNF game in San Diego on Oct. 27, 2003 was moved to Sun Devil Stadium in Tempe, Ariz., when wildfires ravaged San Diego and forced city officials to use Qualcomm Stadium as an emergency evacuation site.

HEY SAN DIEGO: �ARE YOU READY FOR SOME FOOTBALL?�
ABC�s NFL Monday Night Football, the most successful primetime series in television history, will kick off the Oct. 10 Steelers vs. Chargers game with a �live open� in the stadium with a choreographed fan presentation.

The Chargers Fans are the stars of this open, and on Oct. 10, the crowd at Qualcomm Stadium will be instructed � at approximately 5:30 p.m., PT � how to participate. Upon arriving at the stadium, fans will be given props to participate in the MNF opening segment.

HALFTIME FEATURES:
Tim McGraw: �I Like it, I Love it�
As part of a season-long partnership, Grammy Award-winning superstar Tim McGraw teams with MNF for special musical halftime highlights throughout the 36th season of the series.

During each ABC game, the lyrics of �I Like it I Love it� will be rewritten to fit the halftime highlights. NFL Films will provide highlights for the MNF segment that have not previously been seen. McGraw and his band are recording a new version of the song to be used for Monday Night Football.

Jimmy Kimmel:
Throughout the season on MNF, talk show host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel will provide a halftime commentary. Kimmel�s commentary with be a 60-second take from the world of sports, news or pop-culture.

MNF IN HDTV:
The entire schedule of ABC�s NFL Monday Night Football will be available in HDTV.

Monday Night Football -- recipient of the Sports Emmy Award for best Live Series in 2005 � will move to ESPN in 2006 as the most successful and longest-running sports series in television history. The series celebrates its 36th season on ABC Sports with an 18-game regular season schedule before culminating with Super Bowl XL in Detroit on February 5, 2006. ESPN, which received the Sports Emmy in 2004 for Sunday Night Football, will begin televising Monday Night Football next season, while continuing to provide the most comprehensive NFL coverage across the company�s multimedia assets.
