SMASHED: YOUNG FEMALE COEDS AND DRINKING, ON ABC NEWS 20/20, FRIDAY, MARCH 10

Also: Barbara Walters Interviews Macauley Culkin

And: Remembering Dana Reeve

Like so many young female coeds from across the country, Koren Zailckas spent her college years studying hard and partying harder. She was 15 when she took her first drink, 16 when she passed out for the first time and ended up in the hospital having her stomach pumped, and she has had countless nights since then that she just doesnt remember because she was intoxicated mostly from binge drinking. Zailckas, who chronicled her plight with alcohol and the dangerous experiences that come with being drunk in a bestselling book, Smashed, talks candidly to ABC News anchor Elizabeth Vargas, about a problem which, according to David Jernigan, executive director for the Center for Alcohol Marketing and Youth at Georgetown University, is a real concern. He says young women are now drinking more then their male peers, and of special concern are girls under 21. 20/20 airs FRIDAY, MARCH 10 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.

For the report, 20/20 gathered a group of female coeds from across the country who were willing to speak candidly about their binge drinking, and also visited a college campus that has had a recent tragic ending from overdrinking.

Also: What is the appeal of binge drinking and how does it affect women? BBC producer Nicki Taylor inspired by the American film Supersize Me-- set out on an experiment to find out. She went on an odyssey of hard core drinking, downing the equivalent of four bottles of wine a night, five nights a week for a month and documented the entire experience for BBC television. It was about why are we in Britain bingeing so much? Why have we developed this culture? What are the risks?, Taylor tells Deborah Roberts. Her documentary, entitled Mischief: Booze Bird, became one of the most watched ever on BCC.

And: As Macauley Culkin tries his hand as an author, he speaks candidly to Barbara Walters about his unusual life, his significant other -- actress Mila Kunis -- his still tattered relationship with his estranged father and his friend, Michael Jackson.

Plus: 20/20 remembers the remarkable journey of Dana Reeve, from the first interview with Barbara Walters after her husband Christopher was paralyzed, to his untimely death and her battle with lung cancer.

20/20 is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and John Stossel. David Sloan is executive producer.
