SUPER BOWL'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS 2007, a new entertainment special hosted by Jim Nantz, Lead Play-by-Play Announcer of THE NFL ON CBS and co-host Daisy Fuentes, will be broadcast Friday, Feb. 2 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The special, which will originate from both Dolphins Stadium in Miami, site of Super Bowl XLI and The Tides Hotel in South Beach, pits 15 of the greatest commercials of all time against Mean Joe Green. The reigning "Super Bowl's Greatest Commercials" champion for the past five years, Coca-Cola's "Mean Joe Greene" ad made its Super Bowl debut in 1980 and featured the imposing Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle softening his gruff exterior after a young fan offered him a cold bottle of Coke following a particularly tough day on the gridiron.

The top vote-getters, selected by the audience voting online at CBS.com, will be showcased during the show, with the winner going head-to-head with Mean Joe Green for audience votes in the last half-hour. The winner will be revealed live at the conclusion of the broadcast.

Voting started on Monday, Jan. 15 and will run through Sunday, Jan. 28. Viewers can log on to http://www.cbs.com/ to view the top 15 commercials in the history of the Super Bowl and vote for their favorite. The spots will also be posted on http://www.cbssportsline.com/.

SUPER BOWL'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS 2007 will also unveil the winning team for Chevy's Super Bowl College Ad Challenge. Chevrolet was the first company to announce a competition for a consumer-generated ad to air during Super Bowl XLI. Over 820 teams registered from more than 230 schools in 46 states and the District of Columbia. Beginning January 22 and leading into SUPER BOWL'S GREATEST COMMERCIALS 2007, CBS.com will stream webisodes chronicling the behind-the-scenes process of the contest. Internet viewers will follow the five finalist teams and their journey from hometown to the board room in Detroit to pitch Chevy's top executives.

Throughout the special, celebrities will share their humorous and sometimes irreverent observations of some of the highlighted commercials.
