THE BACHELORS KICK UP THEIR HEELS AT A DUDE RANCH AND TALK SHOW HOST ELLEN DEGENERES HELPS IN DeANNA'S ROSE SELECTION, AS THE PRESSURE MOUNTS FOR THE MEN TO SHOW HOW SINCERE THEIR FEELINGS ARE FOR "THE BACHELORETTE," MONDAY, JUNE 2, ON ABC

"Episode 403" DeAnna turns up the heat with a romantic one-on-one dinner date overlooking Los Angeles and another under the stars at the historic Mt. Wilson Observatory, with both rendezvous having a high-stakes rose on the line if the bachelor doesn't receive a rose, he goes home. The Bachelorette takes the remaining men on a "ride em cowboy" visit to a bona fide dude ranch with another rose at stake. DeAnna also has special surprise in store for her beaus when she takes them to meet her good friend Ellen DeGeneres. And Ellen won't just be questioning the men; she'll also be handing out a rose, on "The Bachelorette," MONDAY, JUNE 2 (8:00-10:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Editor's note: This is the new airtime for the series.

Jeremy, Graham and Paul, who received the date roses on the last episode, move into the mansion with DeAnna, while the guys in the "outhouse" commiserate about their fate.

A nervous but thrilled Richard gets the honor of tonight's first individual date. DeAnna treats the handsome science teacher to a storybook dinner atop the famed Oviatt Building with a panoramic rooftop view of downtown Los Angeles. Richard is everything she's looking for in a man -- kind, funny, smart and adventurous -- and the setting is overwhelmingly romantic, complete with a fairytale carriage ride. But DeAnna needs to make a difficult decision about whether Richard can be more than a friend, whether he's a potential husband, and she's prepared to either give him a rose or send him home.

DeAnna surprises ten of the men with a trunk full of cowboy gear for their dude ranch roundup. All decked out like a cowgirl, she greets her guys at the ranch and immediately the competition ramps up between the men to rope in her affection with their country line-dancing skills. Then the Bachelorette stages a competition to see who can ride a mechanical bull the longest, with the winner getting some coveted alone time with DeAnna. The fun-filled date turns ugly when Ron and Jeremy argue over what DeAnna needs in a man. But it's the Bachelorette who reveals what she wants the most when she awards a rose to one of men who opens up and share his romantic feelings with her.

A helicopter whisks DeAnna and Jason to Wilson Observatory high in the Los Angeles hills for the next one-on-one date. Jason finally thinks the time is right to disclose his secret to her that he's a single dad with a three-year-old son. How will she respond to his personal revelation? Once again, DeAnna must decide whether to give Jason a rose or send him home.

Next the Bachelorette surprises the men by taking them to see one of her biggest supporters, talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. Ellen doesn't want DeAnna to get hurt again, so she does whatever it takes to help her friend find the man of her dreams. She asks penetrating questions about past relationships, makes the men compete in a goofy dance-off, even makes them drop their pants and show off their "Ellen" boxers. But in the end, the fun and games reveal a serious purpose when Ellen hands out a rose to one lucky guy.

At a very intense cocktail party, the men fall all over themselves trying to convince DeAnna that they're completely there for her. For some it might be too little, too late. She sends three bachelors home, but is sure that her decisions are the right ones for her and is ready to move on with the nine remaining men.

The 12 remaining men are:
Brian W. (Texas), 31, high school football coach from Fort Worth, TX.
