Spears Supplies Smiles, Substance and Sensibility in the Network Television Premiere of "Aries Spears: Hollywood, Look I'm Smiling" on Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL(R)

NEW YORK, Nov. 21, 2011 -- "MADtv" and stand-up veteran Aries Spears delivers an honest and outrageous performance in "Aries Spears: Hollywood, Look I'm Smiling." The Network Television Premiere airs Saturday, December 10 at 11:00 p.m. ET/PT on COMEDY CENTRAL.

Filmed at the Best Buy Theater in New York City, Spears breaks down his beliefs on political correctness, race, Hollywood and hypocrisy - all with a smile on his face. With his quick wit, charisma and ferociously aggressive style of comedy, Spears divulges why race is still relevant in America, why he felt like an exotic animal on his latest trip to Canada and how Barack Obama is just the right "shade" of black.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, cc.com/standup will feature sneak-preview clips from the special.

Spears spent eight years as a principle player on "MADtv" and starred alongside Damon Wayans on Showtime's sketch show, "The Underground." His other television credits include "The Best Damn Sports Show Period," "Russell Simmons' Def Comedy Jam" on HBO, "Showtime at the Apollo," NBC's "A Different World," CBS' "South Of Sunset," "Crosstown Traffic" and Fox's "Brisco County Jr." His film credits include "Home of Angels," "Out Of Sync," "Why Do Fools Fall In Love," "The Pest" and "Jiminy Glick In Lalawood." Spears delivered his most notable performance to date as Cuba Gooding Jr.'s brother in the blockbuster hit, "Jerry Maguire." Spears has received accolades for his hit comedy album, "I Ain't Scared" and has lent his voice to an animated character on "C-Bear & Jamal."

"Aries Spears: Hollywood, Look I'm Smiling" is executive produced by Spears, Jeff Clanagan and Geoff Cheddy, produced by Quincy Newell and Jeff Atlas and directed by Leslie Small.
