NEW YORK, March 31, 2014 - Legendary comedian Tracy Morgan keeps Stand-Up Month going strong with the world premiere of his new one-hour stand-up special, "Tracy Morgan: Bona Fide," debuting on Comedy Central on Sunday, April 20 at 10:00 p.m. For eager fans, a special extended edition of the special will be available for download on CC: Stand-Up Direct on April 12, over a week before the on-air premiere.

Back in his hometown, Morgan performs in front of a packed house at the iconic Brooklyn Academy of Music's Harvey Theater, where he delivers a hilarious, personal and compelling hour that includes everything from growing up in the projects and surviving a dysfunctional family Thanksgiving to the time Prince threw him out of his house following an all-night party. Morgan weaves personal stories and topical anecdotes to illustrate how one of the world's favorite comedians made it from Bed-Stuy to Hollywood.

On April 22 the extended and uncensored edition will be available on DVD, featuring an exclusive encore set. An uncensored edition will be available on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, Xbox Video, Sony Entertainment Network, Vudu and Target on April 22.

Leading up to the on-air premiere, Comedy Central Stand-Up and cc.com/bonafide will feature preview clips from the special, including a "Comedy Central Re-Animated" clip produced by CC:Studios, with animation by Titmouse. Morgan will also take part in a Reddit "Ask Me Anything" Q&A in the week leading up to the on-air premiere, and fans can follow him on Twitter at @RealTracyMorgan.

Starring for seven seasons on NBC's Emmy(R) and Golden Globe Award-winning "30 Rock," Morgan appeared opposite Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin as "Tracy Jordan," the unpredictable star of Lemon's (Fey) hit variety show, "TGS with Tracy Jordan." In 2009 Morgan received his first Emmy Nomination for this role, in the Supporting Actor category; he has in six past years also been nominated for a Supporting Actor NAACP Image Award.

In 2010, he starred alongside Al Pacino and Channing Tatum in the crime-thriller "The Son of No One," which received Sundance Film Festival honors. In August 2012, "Why Stop Now" bowed, which was also an official selection at Sundance.

In 2009, Morgan made his animation debut lending his voice to Jerry Bruckheimer's "G-Force," and last year, he starred as the bulldog Luiz in the colorful and lively film "Rio." Next month he will return to voice the same character in "Rio 2." In 2013 Morgan served as the Billboard Music Awards host, where he kept the laughs going on ABC's live broadcast in May.

Another milestone for Morgan was reached in 2009 with the release of his first book, entitled I Am The New Black. Morgan was first introduced to television audiences in his role as "Hustleman" on the hit comedy series "Martin." He went on to join "Saturday Night Live" in 1996 where he appeared for seven seasons and created such memorable characters as "Astronaut Jones" and "Brian Fellows." In 2014, Morgan returns to television for his lead role in the FX Studios comedy "Death Pact."

"Tracy Morgan: Bona Fide" is executive produced by Morgan and John Irwin. Christian McLaughlin and Anne Harris are the Executives in Charge for Comedy Central.
