"TRAGEDY ON TV" ON "20/20"

Airing Friday, August 28 at 10 pm on ABC

Yesterday, tragedy unfolded live on television as a former and disgruntled television station employee shot and killed a news reporter and a cameraman, and wounded another innocent woman. Popular on-air talent Alison Parker and cameraman Adam Ward were in the middle of a live remote on Roanoke, Virginia's WDBJ-TV's early morning show when Vester Lee Flanagan, who went by the name Bryce Williams during his own on air career, pulled the trigger. Vicki Gardner, head of a local chamber of commerce, whom Parker was interviewing at the time, was also injured.

How long was Williams plotting his revenge against a television station that fired him in 2013? With all new details from the 23 page suicide note he sent to ABC News after the killings, "20/20" takes viewers from the single horrifying moment through the manhunt and into the mind of a killer.

Additionally, "20/20" examines anger management in the workplace. How do individuals and companies handle the difficult co-workers you work beside? Experts weigh in with information and tips viewers need to know.

ABC News Correspondents Deborah Roberts and Jim Avila report the latest on "Tragedy on TV" on "20/20," FRIDAY, AUGUST 28 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET) on ABC.

"20/20" is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas and David Muir. David Sloan is senior executive producer.
