THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE BIGGEST STORY ON EARTH ONE-HOUR SEASON FINALE TO FEATURE DOCUMENTARY FILM CHRONICLING PRESIDENT TRUMP'S FIRST 100 DAYS, NARRATED BY JEFF GOLDBLUM SUNDAY, MAY 7 AT 8 PM ET/PT ON SHOWTIME(R)

NEW YORK, NY - May 5, 2017 - After seven weeks of twists and turns, drama and excitement, disappointments and victories inside Washington and around the country, THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE BIGGEST STORY ON EARTH will air its eighth and final episode of the season, "Looking Back and Moving On," reflecting on Donald Trump's first 100 days in office and looking at what lies ahead. The centerpiece for the hour-long episode, which airs Sunday, May 7th at 8 p.m. ET/PT on SHOWTIME, is a brand-new documentary produced by the CIRCUS team and narrated by Jeff Goldblum that explores the major developments and themes that have shaped the launch of Trump's administration.

The short film premiered on Wednesday in Washington at the Newseum at an event hosted by THE CIRCUS co-hosts Mark Halperin, John Heilemann, and Mark McKinnon before an audience of prominent politicos and media figures in the capital. The screening was followed by a panel discussion on Trump's first 100 days that included Republican South Carolina Congressman Mark Sanford, Hillary Clinton campaign communications director Jennifer Palmieri and American Conservative Union chairman Matt Schlapp. Other attendees included White House counselor Kellyanne Conway, Republican California Congressman Darrell Issa, former Clinton campaign adviser Christina Reynolds, The Washington Post's Dan Balz, The New York Times' Jonathan Martin and many others. The discussion, which was shot by THE CIRCUS cameras and parts of which will be included in Sunday night's episode, delved into attendees' views of Trump's successes and failures so far, the outlook for the administration, and the major news stories of the week - including the renewed drive by House Republicans to pass a health care bill.

THE CIRCUS: INSIDE THE BIGGEST STORY ON EARTH is hosted by New York Times bestselling co-authors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann (Game Change and Double Down). THE CIRCUS is produced by Left/Right (a part of Red Arrow Entertainment Group) for SHOWTIME. Mark Halperin, John Heilemann, Mark McKinnon, Banks Tarver and Ken Druckerman serve as executive producers.
