Hit Late Night Show to Kick Off 5th Season From New West Coast Home

NEW YORK - June 1, 2005 - NBC's "Last Call with Carson Daly" is moving west to Daly's native city of Los Angeles when the late night show relocates to a new home on the legendary NBC lot in Burbank, CA.

The show will make its West Coast debut this September when it enters into its fifth season. (Mondays-Thursdays, 1:35-2:05 a.m. ET; Fridays, 1:35-2:35 a.m. ET).

"The chance for 'Last Call' to have its own home on the NBC lot in Burbank, coupled with how much I enjoyed the recent L.A. tapings, makes this an incredible opportunity for the future of our show," said Daly.

"It's been a great run in New York and SNL's Studio 8H has been the ideal spot to get us off the ground," said executive producer David Friedman, "Moving to L.A., into a studio of our own, will help us take the show to the next level."

Added Rick Ludwin, Senior Vice President, Late Night and Primetime Series: "We loved the look and feel of 'Last Call' in New York, but the shows Carson recently taped in Los Angeles proved to us how dynamic the series will be when it moves to Burbank."

The show will originate from Studio 9 in Burbank. It will be on the NBC lot alongside the late-night leader "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "Access Hollywood" and "Days of our Lives." Former occupants of Studio 9 include "Saved By The Bell," the late night stand-up comedy series "Late Friday" as well as specials featuring Bob Hope and Garth Brooks.

"Last Call with Carson Daly," now in its fourth season, consistently beats the late-late night offerings CBS and ABC in the 18-49 and 18-34 demo, though "Last Call" airs up to 90 minutes later than both shows in much of the country.

David Friedman and Guy Oseary are executive producers of the program produced by NBC Universal Television Studios.
