WE: Women's Entertainment Continues to Expand Original Programming Slate with Two New Shows

Weekly Series "American Princess" Debuts in September; Four One-Hour Specials of "I Can't Believe I Wore That..." Premieres in December 2005

New York, NY, June 20, 2005 - WE: Women's Entertainment announced today that the network will add two new shows to its growing slate of original programming. The weekly series "American Princess" will debut in August 2005, and four one-hour specials of "I Can't Believe I Wore That..." will premiere in December 2005. This announcement comes on the heels of four recently announced new shows, the original series "Kiss and Tell," "Daddy's Little (Spoiled) Girl" and "The Secret Lives of Women", as well as the acquired series "Cutting It."

"These new shows further define WE's commitment to original programming," said Kim Martin, WE's Executive Vice President and General Manager. "When I joined the network six months ago my primary goal was to increase WE's original offerings. These originals join a lineup of already popular shows, and continue to position WE as a premiere destination for relevant, fun, and engaging programming designed for today's busy women."

During Kim Martin's six-month tenure as WE's General Manager, she launched the network's first-ever national public affairs campaign, WE Empowers Women; has greenlit several new series, including "American Princess" and "I Can't Believe I Wore That..." among others; and produced three live on-air events, the networks first-ever live programming. The live shows included: LIVE ON WISTERIA LANE, a post-show special immediately following the season finale of Desperate Housewives; LIVE FROM THE LADIES ROOM featuring commentary from comedian Sandra Bernhard and celebrity stylist Lloyd Boston during the breaks of the Academy Awards; and exclusive BBC1 coverage of the Royal Wedding of Prince Charles and Ms. Camilla Parker Bowles.

"American Princess"
In this cross between "America's Top Model" and "The Princess Diaries," a group of regular American Janes are sent to England for "Blue Blood Boot Camp" as they compete for an actual royal British title. With the help of celebrity judges such as Princess Diana's butler, Paul Burrell, real-life princess (and actress) Catherine Oxenberg, billionaire impresario, Richard Branson, den mother Jean Brooke-Smith and a cast of royal experts and watchers, these women compete to become the first American princess. The hour-long, six-episode series premieres Sunday, August 14 at 10 pm ET.

"I Can't Believe I Wore That..."
WE's hilarious hour-long flashback to fashion faux pas explores the designs you died for through the decades, and now wouldn't be caught dead wearing. Hosted by celebrity style icons that defined the 70's, 80's, 90's and the millennium, "I Can't Believe I Wore That..." is an amusing retrospective of intrepid fashionistas and some of their most forgettable and regrettable styles that shaped the decade. Four one-hour specials will premiere in December 2005.

WE: Women's Entertainment is committed to producing quality original programming that speaks to the busy lifestyle of today's contemporary woman. WE's popular line up of originals includes "McLeod's Daughters," the sexy, sprawling, and "bloody addictive" series about two sisters and a group of women running a cattle ranch and still finding time for love, drama and fun; "Bridezillas" a look at brides-to-be who go from engaged to enraged on their way to the altar; and "Full Frontal Fashion," a weekly top-ten countdown of today's hottest fashion styles and trends, hosted by actress Rebecca Budig. Later this year, WE will premiere four new series, "Kiss & Tell," which follows 12 single New York men and women on their dating adventures; "Daddy's Little (Spoiled) Girl," spotlighting how far dads go for their little girls; "The Secret Lives of Women," which tackles different topics in each episode- from women breaking career barriers to women dealing with addictions such as compulsive over shopping and eating disorders; and the acquired series "Cutting It", which follows the lives and loves of two sisters who become rival beauty salon owners in Manchester, England.
