CUPID (ABC) - Sarah Paulson ("Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip") has been tapped as the female lead on the drama pilot, about Trevor Hale (Bobby Cannavale), a man who thinks he is the Roman god of love, Cupid. She'll play Claire Allen, a psychiatrist specializing in affairs of the heart. Paula Marshall originated the role in the original 1998-99 version. Rick Gomez also star in the project, which comes from creator Rob Thomas and director Bharat Nalluri. ABC Studios and Sony Pictures Television are co-producing.

MY NAME IS EARL (NBC) - Seth Green is set to guest star in an upcoming episode of the NBC veteran. He'll play Buddy Zaks, a former Make-a-Wish child whose wish of starring in an action movie was ruined by Earl (Jason Lee). Karma then demands that Earl produce Buddy's dream film. It's not clear when Green's installment will air.

THE PRINCE OF MOTOR CITY (ABC) - Sharon Lawrence ("The Capture of the Green River Killer") has landed a role on the drama pilot, which centers on Billy (Warren Christie), a young Harvard philosophy professor forced to return to Detroit to take over the family's auto company and reconnect with his ex-girlfriend, Meg (Piper Perabo). She'll play Dorothy "Dotty" Riley, a recurring role which is detailed is follows: "40s, Burberry-clad and tightly put together, she is Paul's wife and Meg's mother who believes that William Hamilton's death will be her family's gain. Dotty is the type of person who will take a helicopter to see you if you don't give her the answer she wants over the phone. She can be calculating, and disdainful of those who are less wealthy (which is a lot of people)." Andie MacDowell, Aunjanue Ellis, Benny Ciaramello, John Carroll Lynch and Morris Chestnut also star in the ensemble, which comes from co-creators Hamish Linklater and Jessica Goldberg. Jack Bender is directing the ABC Studios-based hour.

THE UNUSUALS (ABC) - Jeremy Renner ("28 Weeks Later"), Terry Kinney ("Canterbury's Law") and Kai Lennox ("Helter Skelter") are all the latest additions to the pilot, a dramedy set at a New York police precinct. Renner will play the male lead, Joe Walsh, a detective who sets out to solve the murder of his ex-partner with the help of his partner (Amber Tamblyn). Kinney then is set as Sgt. Harvey Brown, who is married but flirts around, with Lennox as Ed Alvarez, a well-put-together but not supersmart detective. Adam Goldberg, Harold Perrineau and Monique Gabriela also star in the Sony Pictures Television-based project, which Stephen Hopkins is directing from a script by creator Noah Hawley.
