NEW YORK, August 8, 2008 � MTV will offer a battle to the finish between The Dirty South and the Wild West when the remaining two crews compete for dance supremacy and $100,000 cash prize in the Season Two LIVE finale of the network's hit reality dance competition series "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew." Airing Thursday, August 21 at 10pm ET/ tape delay 10 pm PT, SoReal Cru of Houston, TX and Super Cr3w of Las Vegas, NV face off while also making some room on the dance floor for their fallen competitors. All 10 Season Two crews will return to take the stage one last time in regional performances before the hard work exhibited by these two groups culminates in America's crowning of its next "Best Dance Crew." Following the Season Two finale of "America's Best Dance Crew," viewers should stay tuned in to MTV for a LIVE half-hour post-show, hosted by Julissa Bermudez and Dave Scott of the MTV recap series "Countdown To America's Best Dance Crew." Live from LA, Bermudez and Scott will bring the "Dance Crew" stage to series fans at home through real-time reactions from the winning crew and their fellow Season Two competitors and interviews with the judges. They will also break down the action from the finale and take a look back at some of the second season's biggest moments.
The season two premiere of "Randy Jackson Presents America's Best Dance Crew" ranked as the #1 cable program on Thursday night among P12�34 and averaged over 2.3 million viewers (P2+). Since then, the series has ranked #1 in its time period (Thursday 10pm-11pm) among Persons 12-34, versus all of TV. Season 2-to-date, the series has also reached over 68.6 million total viewers (P2+) on MTV with 33.1 million in the Persons 12-34 demo. "America's Best Dance Crew" is hosted by Mario Lopez and shot on location in Los Angeles as dance crews of five to seven members perform their hottest moves for dance supremacy and a $100,000 cash prize. Every performance-themed episode gives insight into the crews' emotion, spirit and inspiration as they step up to the challenge and showcase their innovative choreography and skills. Viewers from around the country choose their favorite crews via text messaging, phone and online voting (http://dancecrew.mtv.com). The two weakest teams as determined by voting show their best moves for the judges with the hope of advancing to the next round. One crew will be eliminated each week, ultimately revealing the nation's best dance crew.
