Kimberly Williams-Paisley Stars in Lifetime Movie Network's Original Movie Amish Grace

SET TO PREMIERE MARCH 28, 2010

Based on a True Story of the Amish Community's Faith and Forgiveness Following the Tragic Schoolhouse Shooting in Pennsylvania

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 23 -- Kimberly Williams-Paisley (According to Jim, Father of the Bride Parts I and II) stars as Ida Graber in the Lifetime Movie Network Original Movie Amish Grace. The powerful and moving film is based on a true story about the aftermath that followed the 2006 schoolhouse shooting in the Amish community of Nickel Mines, Pennsylvania. The movie examines a mother's (Williams-Paisley) personal journey in which she copes with the tragic loss of her daughter during the shooting and subsequent questioning of her faith. Matt Letscher (Brothers & Sisters, Entourage) portrays her husband, Gideon Graber, and Tammy Blanchard (Life with Judy Garland: Me and My Shadows) stars as the shooter's wife, Amy Roberts. Amish Grace, based on the book Amish Grace: How Forgiveness Transcended Tragedy, will premiere Sunday, March 28, 2010, at 8pm ET/5pm PT, on Lifetime Movie Network, Lifetime's sister network and the second highest rated women's channel.

ABOUT AMISH GRACE

The peaceful Amish community of Nickel Mines was forever changed when a gunman senselessly took the lives of five girls in a schoolhouse shooting before taking his own life.

What transpires afterwards takes the community by storm when the media descends on the town and criticizes its Amish leaders for their notion of unconditional forgiveness of the shooter and their outreach of support to his widow, Amy Roberts (Blanchard). Devastated by her daughter's death, Ida Graber (Williams-Paisley) finds herself struggling with her community's belief of the transcending power of forgiveness. Deeply conflicted and unable to forgive the gunman and his family, Ida is tempted to leave the only life she's ever known before re-embracing her faith.
