ABC Books "No Ordinary Family" Stunt, Piles on the Specials

LOS ANGELES (thefutoncritic.com) -- ABC is giving "No Ordinary Family" a new home, at least for three weeks.

The Alphabet has confirmed the freshman drama will shift to Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c from November 30 to December 14. Various holiday specials will fill its former 8:00/7:00c slot during said period (see below for specifics).

"Family" will then shift back to 8:00/7:00c on January 4 where it will lead into the second season of "V" at 9:00/8:00c, as announced earlier today.

The network also revealed "Skating With the Stars," a new reality competition series, will premiere Monday, November 22 at 9:00/8:00c following the final performance show of the season for "Dancing With the Stars."

The six-episode series, a domestic take on the U.K.'s "Strictly Ice Dancing," will roll out as follows:

Episode 1 - Monday, November 22 at 9:00/8:00c (Two Hours)
Episode 2 - Monday, November 29 at 8:00/7:00c (90 Minutes)
Episode 3 - Monday, December 6 at 8:00/7:00c (90 Minutes)
Episode 4 - Monday, December 13 at 8:00/7:00c (60 Minutes)
Episode 5 - Monday, December 20 at 8:00/7:00c (60 Minutes)
Episode 6 - Tuesday, December 21 at 8:00/7:00c (60 Minutes)

[UPDATED! 6:27 PM] Meanwhile, ABC has also booked its eight-episode winter edition of its "Wipeout" franchise for Thursday, January 6 at 8:00/7:00c while "The Bachelor," which returns Monday, January 4 at 8:00/7:00c, will run through Monday, March 14.
