THE FRONTIER (NBC, New!) - Shaun Cassidy ("Invasion") has snagged a script order from the Peacock for an 1840s-set drama about "a diverse group of people who set out from Missouri on an incredible adventure across an American landscape that is still largely uncharted, following dreams of riches and reinvention in the West." Paul Frank and Thomas Schlamme are also executive producing the Sony Pictures Television-based hour, which Schlamme ("Pan Am") is also attached to direct. (Variety.com)


MOMMY-TRACK MYSTERIES (CBS, New!) - Ayelet Waldman's series of books - about Juliet Applebaum, "a public defender turned stay-at-home-mom and private investigator" - is being developed as a drama by the Eye. Waldman herself is penning the adaptation with Jennifer Levin and Sherri Cooper also serving as executive producers. No studio was indicated. (Deadline.com)


RED ON RED (CBS, New!) - Greg Walker ("The Defenders") is developing a small screen take on Edward Conlon's novel about "a young hungry detective who is asked to inform on his new partner who is a legend in the NYPD." Olé's Richard Shepard, Sean Furst and Bryan Furst are also executive producing the CBS Television Studios-based hour, the former of which is attached to direct. (Deadline.com)


SHERLOCK HOLMES (CBS, New!) - Robert Doherty ("Medium") is developing "a modern take on the cases of the pipe-smoking private eye created by Arthur Conan Doyle." Said hour comes from CBS Television Studios and Timberman/Beverly Productions with the latter's Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly executive producing alongside Doherty. No other specifics were given. THREEPETE (FOX, New!) - Carter Covington ("10 Things I Hate About You") has booked a multi-camera comedy at the network about "a grandfather, father and son who share the name Peter - and little else." 20th Century Fox Television is behind the half-hour with 21 Laps/Adelstein's Shawn Levy and Marty Adelstein also serving as executive producers. UNTITLED SILVIO HORTA PROJECT (FOX, New!) - "Ugly Betty" creator Silvio Horta has booked a potential drama at FOX, inspired by an idea from network chief Kevin Reilly, about "a Latino family and centers on three sisters and their interlinked lives." Jennifer Lopez and Simon Fields of Nuyorican Productions will executive produce the Sony Pictures Television-based hour alongside Horta. The network has given a script commitment to the project with a penalty attached. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED JENNIE SNYDER URMAN PROJECT (CBS, New!) - Jennie Snyder Urman ("90210") has booked a potential drama at the Eye about "a divorced husband-and-wife detective team in Miami who reunite to solve cases." Said hour comes from CBS Television Studios and Richard Shepard, Sean Furst and Bryan Furst's Olé banner. The trio will executive produce alongside Urman. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED JOHN LEE HANCOCK PROJECT (ABC, New!) - John Lee Hancock ("The Blind Side") has snagged a script order from the Alphabet for a new drama which "centers on an unorthodox protagonist described as Walter Mitty of the crime world." ABC Studios and Di Bonaventura Pictures Television are behind the hour, which Hancock will write, direct and executive produce alongside the latter's Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Dan McDermott. (Deadline.com)


WALK OF SHAME (ABC, New!) - Casey Wilson and June Diane Raphael ("Bride Wars") are developing a single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "a group of twentysomething friends in New York and features an opening scene about an embarrassing situation followed by flashbacks of the events that led to it." Will Gluck, Paul Schiff, Tai Duncan and Jason Shapiro are also on board to executive produce the half-hour for Sony Pictures Television (Deadline.com)


WHERE'S MY WAND (ABC, New!) - Eric Poole's memoir of the same name is being developed as a comedy by the Alphabet. Carter Covington ("Greek") is spearheading the single-camera adaptation, "about a boy growing up with his long-suffering father, his older sister, and his cleanliness-obsessed mother." ABC Studios and the Sony Pictures Television-based Happy Madison are co-producing. (Deadline.com)


AND IN OTHER NEWS... - Rachael Harris will stop by NBC's "Free Agents" for two episodes as the sister of Helen's (Kathryn Hahn) late fiance on the show (EW.com); Andrew Leeds is set as a bad boy hacker who manages to commit murder despite being under house arrest on "Bones" (EW.com); "Bridesmaids" co-star Wendi McLendon-Covey will replace Rosa Blasi as Principal Diego, a former mean girl on FOX's upcoming "I Hate My Teenage Daughter" (TVLine.com); Wes Brown is bound for a four-episode arc on "Private Practice" as a handsome stranger who will figure into Amelia's (Caterina Scorsone) ongoing addiction storyline (TVLine.com); Michael J.
