EX-COMM (ABC, New!) - Jon Favreau, Roberto Orci, Seth Green and Michael Dougherty are all set to team for a potential drama at the Alphabet about "a newly-elected President and his top secret 'Executive Committee,' the government's covert team of America's most elite minds who investigate and protect our nation from the strangest occurrences and conspiracy theory truths out there." Favreau is on board to direct the project, to be written by the quartet. 20th Century Fox Television, Orci's K/O Paper Products and Green's Stoopid Monkey are behind the hour, which has a put pilot commitment. Alex Kurtzman, Heather Kadin and Matthew Senreich then will executive produce alongside said group. (Deadline.com)


HAUGHT MESS (ABC, New!) - Ellen Rapoport and Beth McCarthy-Miller are set to team for a new single-camera comedy at the Alphabet about "a woman who is caught between her new boyfriend and her inability to say no to her siblings and mother." McCarthy-Miller will direct from a script by Rapoport for ABC Studios with each serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)


MAGICIANS (FOX, New!) - Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz ("X-Men: First Class") have booked a new drama at the network based on Lev Grossman's popular fantasy novel about "a group of 20-somethings in New York who study magic and have access to a magical world." 20th Century Fox Television and the studio-based 21 Laps/Adelstein Productions are behind the hour, which has a penalty attached, with Michael London, Becky Clements, Shawn Levy and Michael Adelstein all executive producing alongside Miller and Stentz. MILLION DOLLAR MIND GAME (ABC) - The long-in-the-works game show is set to roll out on Saturday, October 23 in the afternoon slot of 4:00/3:00c. Vernon Kay hosts the six-episode series, from Merv Griffin Entertainment, in which competitors are challenged to answer questions that require nothing more than basic faculties of reasoning and logic like riddles or puzzles. Boris Kryuk and Alex Reznik are among the executive producers.


OF TWO MINDS (Lifetime, New!) - Kristin Davis and Tammy Blanchard are set to star in a new film at the cable channel which "chronicles the relationship between a woman (Davis) and her younger sister (Blanchard), who has schizophrenia." Jim O'Hanlon is directing the project from a script by Richard Friedenberg with Davis, Frank Konigsberg and Daniel Ostroff executive producing. Production is set to begin in mid-November in Los Angeles. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED JEFF LOWELL PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Writer/director Jeff Lowell ("Over Her Dead Body") has booked a new comedy at the Alphabet about "a politically correct modern-day guy who is haunted by the ghost of his father - a 1950's 'winner,' who coaches him on life and love." ABC Studios and Brillstein Entertainment Partners are co-producing with Lowell, JoAnn Alfano and Daniel Rappaport serving as executive producers. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED JASON BELLEVILLE PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Jason Belleville ("Little Mosque on the Prairie") has sold a new multi-camera comedy to the Alphabet about "a small-town volunteer fire department." Warner Bros. Television-based Doozer is behind the half-hour, which has a penalty attached, with Bill Lawrence and Jeff Ingold executive producing alongside Belleville. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED ROMEO PROJECT (ABC, New!) - Anthony "Romeo" Santos is set to star in a potential comedy at the Alphabet about "a charismatic Dominican-American (Romeo) from Washington Heights, who tries to please his very traditional, immigrant father while also creating a life that reflects his new vision of the American Dream." Chris Pappas and Mike Bernier ("Unhitched") are behind the multi-camera project, which is set up at ABC Studios and Overbrook Entertainment. The latter's Will Smith, Jada Pinkett Smith and James Lassiter will then executive produce alongside Pappas and Bernier. (Deadline.com)


UNTITLED SNOOP DOGG PROJECT (NBC, New!) - The proposed Snoop Dogg-led comedy has found a home at the Peacock. Don Reo is behind the half-hour, which is set up at Warner Bros. Television, with Snoop Dogg and Ted Chung serving as producers. (Deadline.com)
