ABC ANNOUNCES FEBRUARY SWEEPS PROGRAMMING, INCLUDING THE SERIES PREMIERE OF "THE RIVER"

The ABC Television Network announces highlights of its upcoming February sweeps programming, including the two-hour series premiere of the highly anticipated thriller "The River," as well as the return of the fan favorite comedy "Cougar Town."

"JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE" - Kicking off "Jimmy Kimmel Live's" 10th season, Kimmel welcomes an outstanding lineup of guests leading into sweeps, including Oscar nominees Michelle Williams and Gary Oldman, Chris Pine, Jessica Alba, Eric Stonestreet, LL Cool J and Courteney Cox, as well as offering a science demonstration from "JKL" recurring guest "Science Bob" Pflugfelder. In addition, for the seventh consecutive year, ABC presents "Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards(R)," on SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 26. Live from the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood, CA, a special broadcast of the late-night talk show hosted by Kimmel airs following the Oscar telecast and late local news. Previous "Jimmy Kimmel Live: After the Academy Awards" celebrations have welcomed Hollywood's biggest movie stars, and this year will be no exception, complete with a signature "JKL" comedy piece and a musical block party from Coldplay. February also brings musical performances from Korn, Robin Thicke, Gotye, Die Antwoord, Lana Del Rey, Puscifer, Mat Kearney and Tony Bennett. "Jimmy Kimmel Live" airs MONDAY-FRIDAY (12:00 a.m., ET).

"WIPEOUT" - "Winter Wipeout: Shoulda SAW that Coming" - Host John Henson says "Winter Wipeout... the temperature and our contestants are DROPPING!" Twenty four competitors all have one goal in common...to be the last player standing at the end of the Winter Wipeout Zone to take home a cool $50,000. Before they can do so, players must first face the Buzz Saw, which greets contestants head on, leaving them feeling the winter black and blues. Then they'll take on the world famous Big Balls -- and can earn an extra $500 if they can clutch the Snowman perched atop the fourth Big Ball -- followed by the Snow Fall, where there's a little bit of snow but a whole lot of fall. From there, players have an all-access pass to The Penguin Party, where they get to shake it up and get smacked down till they drop! Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! Entertainment's "Talk Soup") and new co-host Vanessa Lachey ("ABC's "True Beauty"), "Wipeout" airs THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

"GREY'S ANATOMY" - "If/Then" -- As Meredith puts Zola to bed and falls asleep, she begins to wonder -- what if her mother had never had Alzheimer's and she'd had loving, supportive parents? The reverberations of a happy Meredith Grey change the world of Seattle Grace as we know it. What if she had never met Derek in that bar and he had never separated from Addison? What if Callie and Owen had become a couple long before she met Arizona? And what if Bailey never evolved from the meek intern she once was? "Grey's Anatomy" airs THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (9:00-10:02 p.m., ET). Kate Walsh ("Private Practice") and Kate Burton (Emmy(R) nominee for her Role as Ellis Grey) return.

"PRIVATE PRACTICE" - "The Time Has Come" -- Sheldon counsels Sam's friend, Rick, an Army veteran suffering from PTSD who harbors a secreted sexual trauma; Erica and Mason are involved in a nonfatal car accident that forces Cooper and Charlotte to further come to grips with their future; Violet and Pete struggle to navigate life after marriage when he finds her kissing Scott; and Addison and Jack attend a medical conference they won't soon forget, on ABC's "Private Practice," THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 2 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET). Guest starring A.J. Langer as Erica and Stephen Amell as Scott.

"SHARK TANK" -- "301" -- Will the Sharks smell success or failure when it comes to a fragrance an entrepreneur from St. Charles, IL claims captures the scent of money? The smell of money may also be in the future for a woman from San Francisco who has put an invigorating twist on her luxury brand of soap. Also, a man from Dothan, AL is overcome with emotion when he explains why the Sharks should take his unique guitar learning system "on the road," and a Mr. Mom from Baton Rouge, LA hopes his blue jeans accessories that blink when you walk will spark interest. Plus, a follow-up story features the creator of Original Shrimp Burger, Shawn Davis from Franklin, TN, who left the Tank last season without a deal for his gourmet seafood business, on "Shark Tank," FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

"20/20" -- "HOLLYWED" -- From "I do" to "I don't" to "What was I thinking?"... In a town where fame can be fleeting, so too can Hollywood love and marriage. From Heidi Klum and Seal to Ashton Kutcher and Demi to Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries, high profile Hollywood splits have dominated recent entertainment headlines. A special "20/20" report, "HOLLYWED," takes viewers inside the volatile world of celebrity marriage and divorce and includes secrets revealed by high powered Hollywood divorce attorneys, celebrity insiders, and the stars themselves about what makes a Hollywood marriage work and why it can get so ugly and so expensive so fast. From the unlikeliest of celebrity hook-ups and the relationships that have endured, to the quick fire "I do's" that became "I don't" in a matter of days, the hour is anchored by Elizabeth Vargas with reporting from Deborah Roberts. "HOLLYWED" airs on "20/20" on FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 3 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

"THE BACHELOR" -- "Episode1606" -- Nine excited bachelorettes travel to the exotic tropical country of Panama, but two nervous women - Blakeley and Rachel - face the dramatic two-on-one date where one of them will be sent home immediately. How will the Bachelor handle his heartbreaking decision at the end of the night? Ben soars in a helicopter with Kacie B. over Panama City and the Caribbean, landing on a deserted island where they spend the day, but she makes a stunning disclosure which demonstrates her ability to really open up to Ben. The six women on the group date trek with the Bachelor through the Panamanian jungle and end up at a small village, communicating with their inhabitants, the Emberas. But this week's drama is ratcheted up when Chris faces off with Casey S. about a bombshell disclosure she has failed to reveal to anyone, on "The Bachelor," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). "CASTLE" - "The Blue Butterfly" -- When Castle and Beckett investigate the killing of a treasure hunter, they discover the case is linked to a mysterious homicide from 1947 involving a hard-boiled private detective. Castle realizes the only way to solve the present-day murder is to solve the murder from the past. The 1947 case comes to life through stylized flashbacks, featuring Castle as the private eye and Beckett as a femme fatale, on "Castle," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET). Mark Pellegrino guest stars.

"LAST MAN STANDING" - "House of Spirits" -- When Vanessa gives Mike a history of their house for his birthday, they discover that a woman who once lived there over 100 years ago died upstairs. Now the family, especially Vanessa, suspects the mysterious things going on in the house are linked to the woman's ghost. Meanwhile, Ed claims to never have cash on him and keeps borrowing from the money-strapped Kyle, on "Last Man Standing," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET).

"LAST MAN STANDING" - "Tree of Strife" - When the overzealous Mandy gets the chance to meet her idol, Kim Kardashian, things don't go exactly as planned, but the outcome is better than she could have ever imagined. Meanwhile, Mike doesn't want "The Man" ordering him to cut down a damaged tree on his own property and rallies the family to protest down at City Hall, on "Last Man Standing," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET). Guest stars include Shaun Robinson ("Access Hollywood" correspondent).

"THE RIVER" - TWO-HOUR SERIES PREMIERE -- "Magus/Marbeley" - In the first hour, "Magus," Dr. Emmet Cole, beloved adventurer and television personality goes missing deep in the Amazon. After a fruitless search for him, his family and friends abandon hope and hold a memorial service to commemorate his amazing life. His grieving wife, Tess, reluctantly tries to face the reality that her husband is gone, while her son, Lincoln, is more than ready to bury his past. Six months later Emmet's location beacon mysteriously begins to relay a signal. Tess persuades Lincoln to join her and Emmet's film crew on a journey through the Amazon to find him, a journey on which horrifying and almost mythical events will push them to their limits. In the second hour, "Marbeley," when the spirit of Dr. Emmet Cole mysteriously enters Jahel, the message is clear... go home! Instead, Tess determines to go into the jungle to find clues to Cole's whereabouts. While on their mission, they discover a tree draped in children's dolls that they suspect is there to ward off the "spirit of the abandoned girl" who drowned in the river. Then, when a member of the crew goes missing, the group realizes they'll have to endure a nightmare in order to appease an angry spirit and get their loved one back. The two-hour premiere airs TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 7 (9:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

"THE MIDDLE" - "Valentine's Day III" - Frankie and Mike decide to try a fresh approach to Valentine's Day by having dinner out with friends. But a clueless Mike angers Frankie by refusing to present her with a simple romantic gesture. Meanwhile, Axl can't think of a life-changing moment that's occurred in his life when he's assigned to write a school paper on the subject, Brick is tasked with writing a report on love, and a hapless Sue doesn't understand why her new boyfriend has suddenly turned into a bad kisser, on "The Middle," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET).

"SUBURGATORY" - "Sex and the Suburbs" - Tessa enjoys rubbing it in Dalia's face that Scott Strause chose her over Dalia. However the closer Tessa gets to Scott, the more nervous George becomes. When George discovers a box of XXL condoms that Lisa has given Tessa, he becomes obsessed and starts planning game night with her friends in hopes of keeping her at home more. Meanwhile Tessa soon discovers that the more time she spends with Scott, the less attracted to him she is, on "Suburgatory," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET). Thomas McDonell guest stars.

"MODERN FAMILY" - "Me? Jealous" -- Phil is so preoccupied with impressing his new business partner, Tad (Greg Kinnear), that he doesn't notice what Claire believes is Tad being overtly inappropriate with her. Meanwhile, Jay and Gloria let Mitchell and Cameron stay over while their house is fumigated, and it turns out four is a crowd, on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET). Greg Kinnear ("As Good As It Gets," "You've Got Mail") guest stars.

"HAPPY ENDINGS" - "The St. Valentine's Day Maxssacre" -- The road to romance is rocky for the gang, as Penny has a new boyfriend she wants to dump; Dave is afraid his new girlfriend is about to dump him; Alex, an expert on all things Valentine's, goes looking for a party in the sketchy part of town; and Brad's hopes for a perfect night out for Jane are dashed when a dental appointment goes terribly wrong. But they don't have anything on Max, who picks up a couple with his limo only to find that one of the passengers is Grant (guest star James Wolk), the boyfriend he broke up with a year ago -- on Valentine's Day -- on "Happy Endings," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET).

"REVENGE" - "Perception" -- In an atmosphere of nervous excitement for Emily & Daniel's upcoming engagement party, things quickly start to unravel: Victoria tries to regain the upper hand by using Conrad's own father against him; Jack finds himself wandering deeper into the fray; the rug gets pulled out from under Charlotte, and even more so for Emily, on "Revenge," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 8 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET). William Devane ("Knots Landing," "24") guest stars.

"WIPEOUT" - "Winter Wipeout: Valentine's Day Couples" - Host John Henson says, "On our Valentine's edition of Winter Wipeout, you can fall in love...and water...and mud!" Love is in the air, and so are our contestants on a special Valentine edition of the program. You'll see couples battle it out hand in hand on the Love Struck and at the Wipeout Wedding Reception. "Baby Makers," a "Pair-of-Troopers," "Lovers without Borders" and some "Backstage Parents" will find out if their love will conquer all, or at least bring them a $50,000 prize. Hosted by John Anderson (ESPN's "SportsCenter"), John Henson (E! "PRIVATE PRACTICE" - "Too Much" - Sam finds his estranged sister, Corinne, in jail, heavily medicated and near-catatonic, and brings her to Sheldon for help; Erica begins secret treatments for her cancer and refuses to let Cooper and Charlotte tell Mason; Cooper, Pete and Addison treat the baby of a drug addict; and things between Violet and Scott continue to heat up in the bedroom, "on ABC's "Private Practice" THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 9 (10:02-11:00 p.m., ET). "SHARK TANK" - "304" -- "Queen of QVC" Lori Greiner jumps into the Tank as a guest Shark and makes TV history when she does something no Shark before has ever done. Segments include a wife and mother from Ladera Ranch, CA hit hard by the recession, who makes an impassioned pitch of her unique towel design that provides coverage when changing out of a swimsuit in public places; a woman from Irvine, CA shows the Sharks her business idea -- a sweater and quilt invention called the "Swilt"; a wine connoisseur from Mason, OH shows a unique way to maximize the life of a beloved beverage; and a woman from Grove City, PA presents a natural and healthy cake mix - for dogs. In the biggest success story of "Shark Tank" to date, Sean Conway and DJ Stephan talk about the sale of their company, Notehall, an online marketplace where college students can buy and sell class notes, on "Shark Tank," FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 10 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET).

"BE MY VALENTINE, CHARLIE BROWN" & "A CHARLIE BROWN VALENTINE" - "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown," a "PEANUTS" special produced and animated by the same team that gave us the now classic holiday specials and taken directly from the late cartoonist Charles M. Schulz's famed comic strip, will air with the classic "A Charlie Brown Valentine" (OAD: 2/14/02), SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). In "Be My Valentine, Charlie Brown," hearts are fluttering on Valentine's Day at Birchwood School, and Linus has brought a huge box of candy for his homeroom teacher. Thinking that the candy is for her, Sally reciprocates with a homemade card for Linus. Lucy meanwhile, demands some affection from Schroeder, and Charlie Brown waits for his cards in the mail... and waits... and waits.... The special stars Duncan Watson (Charlie Brown), Stephen Shea (Linus), Melanie Kohn (Lucy), Greg Felton (Schroeder), Lynn Mortensen (Sally) and Linda Ercoli (Violet). In "A Charlie Brown Valentine," Charlie Brown finally works up the courage to call the little red-haired girl to ask her to the Valentine's Day dance. "AMERICA'S FUNNIEST HOME VIDEOS" -- "Episode 2112"-This week's highlights include parents who discover their sleeping son has stuffed his pajamas full of toys, a music montage featuring mishaps caught by security cameras, Angry Deer vs. Dudes in Speedos and Tom plays a funny game of "Too Far? Too Short? Or Just Right?," on "America's Funniest Home Videos," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (7:00-8:00 p.m., ET).

"ONCE UPON A TIME" - "Skin Deep" - After Mr. Gold's house is robbed, Emma keeps a close eye on him when it looks like he wants to track down the criminal and dole out some vigilante justice as payback, and Valentine's Day finds Mary Margaret, Ruby and Ashley (Jessy Schram, "Falling Skies") having a girls' night out. Meanwhile, in the fairytale land that was, Belle (Emilie de Ravin, "Lost") agrees to a fateful deal to give up her freedom in order to save her town from the horrors of the Ogre war, on "Once Upon a Time," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (8:00-9:00 p.m., ET). "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" - "Is This What You Call Love?" -- Susan is in for a shock when daughter Julie pays a visit and shows up six months pregnant; Bree's alcohol consumption and lust for men continues to dominate and ruin her life; Lynette's first sexual encounter since separating from Tom doesn't quite end in fireworks; and Gaby's attempt to sooth Juanita when she doesn't receive a Valentine's Day card from a boy she has a crush on backfires, on "Desperate Housewives," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (9:00-10:01 p.m., ET). "PAN AM" - "Romance Languages" -- Dean is surprised by the ramifications of his fling with Ginny when she stalks him to Rome with, frightening consequences; Colette takes a precocious unescorted minor, Charlie, under her wing, who promptly develops a major case of puppy love; Kate struggles with the dangerous fallout of her strong connection with Niko; and Laura is spellbound by a handsome photographer, Graham, who shot her for the Life cover, on "Pan Am," SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 12 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET). Goran Visnjic continues his guest starring role.

"THE BACHELOR" - "Episode 1607" -- The show travels to beautiful Belize with the pressure mounting on Ben, as he struggles to decide which four women he will escort home to meet their families. There will be three one-on-one dates, as well as a three-on-one date this week. There only will be a rose at stake on the group date, with that woman guaranteed a hometown date. Ben and three of the women dive with sharks. On his individual dates, he takes one woman on an intimate date touring the Belizian jungle and some Mayan ruins, explores the majestic limestone coral island of Caye Caulker with another, and finally takes a leap of faith into the famed Great Blue Hole. Tensions run high as the bachelorettes' feelings for Ben grow, but only a lucky four can remain who will invite him into their families' homes, on "The Bachelor, MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13 (8:00-10:01 p.m., ET). Chris Harrison hosts.

"CASTLE" - "Pandora" - In the first episode of a two-part "Castle" event, Castle and Beckett pursue a ruthless killer who, they discover, is part of a sinister, international conspiracy. Castle and Beckett are joined on the case by Sophia Conrad (guest star Jennifer Beals, "The Chicago Code," "Flashdance"), a smart, sexy CIA operative who has a complicated past with Castle. Josh Stamberg, ("Drop Dead Diva") also guest stars as Martin Danberg, an intelligence officer, on "Castle," MONDAY, FEBRUARY 13 (10:01-11:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network. The second episode in this story arc, "Linchpin," airs Monday, February 20.

"LAST MAN STANDING" - "Adrenaline" - When Mike gets 2011 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart and his race car to jazz up the Outdoor Man retail space, he realizes more than ever how much he misses the adrenaline rush he used to get from his adventures on the road. Right before Tony shows up for the opening, Kyle finds a way to give Mike a taste of that excitement once again. Also, Kristin's desire to go skydiving gets Vanessa thinking how she used to take more chances before becoming a Mom, on "Last Man Standing," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET).

"COUGAR TOWN"- SEASON PREMIERE -- "Ain't Love Strange" - Jules is miffed when Grayson (who has an ulterior motive) calls her "predictable"; Ellie frets that little Stan is turning into a "devil child," or even worse, could grow up to be like Laurie; and Travis likes his new off campus housing, until Bobby tries to convince him to take dog Travis in, on the Third-Season premiere of "Cougar Town," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET).

"THE RIVER" - "Los Ciegos" - When the whole crew of the Magus goes blind due to spores from a tree, lone holdout AJ will have to overcome his most paralyzing fear to find a cure before the blindness becomes permanent. Meanwhile, the local Morcego tribe stalks the crew and judges whether they are worthy to stay in the jungle. If they are deemed unworthy, the consequences could be fatal, on "The River," TUESDAY FEBRUARY 14 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET).

"BODY OF PROOF" -- "Cold Blooded" -- When the owner of a family owned and operated Italian restaurant turns up dead in the freezer, Dr. Hunt and the team take a closer look into family matters. Meanwhile, Detective Baker must face her own haunted past, on "Body of Proof," TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET). Robert Picardo guest stars.

"THE MIDDLE" - "The Concert" - Frankie pulls out all of the stops in an effort to get an over-excited Sue tickets to a Justin Bieber concert, Mike is thrilled over Brick's enthusiasm to win the school's spelling bee and coaches him for the event, and Axl and his friends try to break a road sign's 15-mile-per-hour speed limit - on foot -- on "The Middle," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (8:00-8:30 p.m., ET).

"SUBURGATORY" -- "The Body" - When Tessa realizes that she's failing gym class, she decides to run for student body president in hopes of changing Chatswin High's obsession with sports. During the election, Lisa steps in as Tessa's campaign manager against Kenzie and Kaitlyn. Meanwhile, Ryan is injured during a wrestling match and finds himself mourned by his family, and George takes Ryan under his wing and introduces him to people who have moved forward from setbacks, on "Suburgatory," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET).

"MODERN FAMILY" - "Aunt Mommy" - After closing on the sale of a house to Mitch and Cam's friends, Phil and Claire take the two of them out for a celebratory dinner where they proceed to over-indulge in drinks, which leads to some over-sharing, and finally results in waking up the next morning hung over and begging the question - if you'll do anything for family, shouldn't there still be a line drawn somewhere? - on "Modern Family," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (9:00-9:31 p.m., ET).

"HAPPY ENDINGS" - "Everyone Loves Grant" - When the whole gang, with the exception of Dave, falls in love with Grant (guest star James Wolk), Max wonders if he really is good enough to date the "perfect" guy. Meanwhile, Dave sets out to prove he's way cooler than Max's new boyfriend, on "Happy Endings," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (9:31-10:00 p.m., ET).

"REVENGE" - "Chaos" - The splendor of Emily and Daniel's Fire & Ice engagement party quickly turns to terror when her vendetta takes a dark, unexpected turn, putting those she loves and hates in imminent mortal danger. Meanwhile, Jack resolves to find Amanda and Charlotte takes desperate measures to soothe the pain of her family's betrayal, on "Revenge," WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 15 (10:00-11:00 p.m., ET).

"WIPEOUT"-- "Winter Wipeout: That Snow Way to Fall Down"- In another winter edition of "Wipeout," contestants will battle the Arctic Circle, featuring Garry the Eskimo and a germaphobic Polar Bear. Among those fighting for the $50,000 prize are "Katie GaGa," "Mr Gum," "The Dark Artist" and a "Treasure Hunter." All bets are off for the most entertaining "Cold Hearted Snake" to date, where only three will advance to the exciting conclusion in the Winter Wipeout Zone.
