ELEMENTARY (CBS) - The drama pilot - which envisions Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) in the present day as a former Scotland Yard consultant who solves crimes for the NYPD alongside Joan Watson (Lucy Liu), his personal recovery assistant - has been ordered to series by the Eye. Writer Robert Doherty and director Michael Cuesta are behind the hour, which comes from the CBS Television Studios-based Timberman-Beverly Productions. Aidan Quinn also stars the NYPD Captain who hires Holmes. Carl Beverly and Sarah Timberman also serve as executive producers. (Deadline.com)


FRIEND ME (CBS) - The Christopher Mintz-Plasse/Nicholas Braun-led comedy - about best pals Rob and Evan who have just moved to L.A. from Indiana to start new jobs at Groupon - has likewise been ordered to series. Ajay Sahgal and Alan Kirschenbaum penned the CBS Television Studios-based half-hour, which also stars Dan Ahdoot, Parvesh Cheena and Tim Robinson as the duo's pals from back home whom they remain in touch via video chat. Pamela Fryman helmed the pilot. (Deadline.com)


GOLDEN BOY (CBS) - The Nick Wootton-penned hour - which tracks one man's (Theo James) meteoric rise from uniform cop at age 26 to police commissioner at 34 - is also heading to series at the Eye. Holt McCallany, Bonnie Somerville, Chi McBride, Kevin Alejandro and Stella Maeve co-star in the Warner Bros. Television-based hour, which was directed by Richard Shepard and executive produced by Greg Berlanti. (Deadline.com)


THE JOB (CBS) - The Lisa Ling-hosted reality competition - in which five contestants will go head-to-head for the chance to score their dream job at one of America's most prestigious companies - has made the cut for Eye's 2012-13 season lineup. James Sunderland, Mark Burnett and Michael Davies are all behind the project, which is being co-produced by Embassy Row Productions, Mark Burnett Productions and Sony Pictures Television. MADE IN JERSEY (A.K.A. BABY BIG SHOT) (CBS) - The Janet Montgomery-led drama - about a working-class woman who uses her street smarts to compete with her more polished colleagues at a Manhattan law firm - is the latest hour heading to series at the Eye. Dana Calvo penned the project for Jamie Tarses and Julia Franz's Sony Pictures Television-based FanFare Productions. Erin Cummings, Felix Solis, Kyle MacLachlan, Pablo Schreiber, Stephanie March and Toni Trucks co-star while Kevin Falls will serve as showrunner. (Deadline.com)


PARTNERS (CBS) - David Kohan and Max Mutchnick's multi-camera comedy about two male architects - one straight (David Krumholtz), one gay (Michael Urie) - whose relationship itself resembles a marriage has booked a series commitment at the Eye. Warner Bros. Television is behind the hour, which was directed by James Burrows. Brandon Routh, Molly Shannon, Sophia Bush and Tracy Vilar also star. (Deadline.com)


VEGAS (A.K.A. UNTITLED RALPH LAMB PROJECT) (CBS) - The period drama - about Ralph Lamb (Dennis Quaid), the cowboy-turned-Las Vegas sheriff in the 1960s - rounded out the Eye's wave of 2012-13 season pickups. Greg Walker and Nicholas Pileggi are behind the project, which comes from CBS Television Studios, director James Mangold, and fellow executive producers Arthur Sarkissian and Cathy Konrad. Carrie-Anne Moss, James Russo, Jason O'Mara, Michael Chiklis, Michael O'Neill, Michael Reilly Burke and Taylor Handley round out the hefty ensemble. (Deadline.com)
