FX Announces Cast and Director for Comedy Series Pilot "Bronx Warrants"

Robert Kelly, Godfrey, Josh Segarra and Shirley Rumierk Lead Up Cast

Weeds Executive Producer Scott Ellis to Direct Pilot

Created by Executive Producer Dean Lorey From Executive Producers Denis Leary and Jim Serpico

LOS ANGELES, July 28, 2012 - FX has announced the casting of Robert Kelly (NYC 22), stand-up comedian Godfrey (Louie), Josh Segarra (Homeland) and Shirley Rumierk (White Collar) for its latest half-hour comedy pilot Bronx Warrants. Emmy(R)-nominated director Scott Ellis (30 Rock) will direct the pilot, which begins production in mid-August in New York.

Bronx Warrants was created by Emmy(R)-nominated Dean Lorey (Arrested Development, My Wife and Kids) who also serves as Executive Producer. Denis Leary and Jim Serpico are Executive Producers and Tom Sellitti is Co-Executive Producer. Bronx Warrants is based on the real life exploits of David Joglar and Richard Wetzel who are Co-Producers. Bronx Warrants is produced by FX Productions.

Bronx Warrants is a comedy revolving around a group of errant warrant detectives in the Bronx assigned to arrest individuals with outstanding warrants. With bonuses paid out for each "body" they bring in, the detectives are out to get rich rather than dole out justice.

Kelly has been cast as "DeStefano," Godfrey will play "TJ," Segarra plays "Morales" and Rumierk will play "Yvette."

Kelly was recently seen as Louis C.K.'s brother Robbie on FX's Louie and on CBS's drama NYC 22 produced by Robert DeNiro. His other credits include Comedy Central Special Comics Anonymous, Comedy Central Presents Robert Kelly, Tourgasm on HBO, Premium Blend on Comedy Central, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn on Comedy Central, The Carson Daly Show on NBC, Law & Order, Awesomely Oversexed on VH1 and The Jim Breuer Show on MTV.

Standup comedian Godfrey has been recurring over the last few seasons of Louie for FX. His first one-hour special, Black by Accident premiered last year on Comedy Central. On the feature side, he has appeared in Soul Plane, Johnson Family Vacation, and Zoolander; he also recently wrapped the independent film Three Days in Vegas opposite Nicolas Cage and Danny Trejo. On the television side, Godfrey's credits include 30 Rock, Adult Swim's The Heart, She Hollers, and the recently green-lit Upload with Shaquille O'Neal for TruTV network.

Segarra's credits include Homeland, The Electric Company and the features The Music Never Stops and The Narrows. Rumierk has been seen on White Collar, Law & Order: CI, The Good Wife, Ugly Better and Conviction.

Emmy-Nominated writer Lorey has written and produced numerous TV shows and movies, including Major Payne and My Boyfriend's Back. He is currently a co-executive producer on the new season of Arrested Development.

Director Ellis served as an Executive Producer on Showtime's Weeds for the last three seasons. Other credits include 30 Rock, Modern Family, Nurse Jackie, The Good Wife, Hung and The Closer.

Leary, Serpico and Sellitti and their Apostle Pictures produced FX's Emmy(R) and Golden Globe(R) award nominated hit drama Rescue Me, which also received the 2012 Television Academy Honors Award, and they also produced the critically acclaimed comedy series The Job for ABC.

FX's comedy roster includes It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Archer, Louie, Wilfred, Brand X with Russell Brand, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, and Legit (early 2013).

Last year, every returning FX original comedy series posted ratings gains versus prior seasons. Sunny posted its best ratings ever last season and remains the highest-rated comedy in FX history. Wilfred, which debuted in June, was the number-one comedy premiere ever for FX and is the highest-rated first season comedy in FX history. Louie, starring Louis C.K., was named TIME magazine's Best Series of 2011, and received AFI honors as one of the Ten Most Outstanding Programs of 2011, as well as Television Critics Association and Broadcast Television Journalists Association award nominations for Outstanding Comedy Series. Louis C.K. received Emmy Award nominations for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series (an FX first) and also Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series. Louis C.K. and Pamela Adlon received a WGA Award nomination in the Comedy Series category. C.K. won the 2012 BJTA Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Actor in a Comedy Series. Archer won the 2012 BJTA Critics' Choice Television Award for Best Animated Series and the 2012 Comedy Awards award for Best Animated Series.

FX Productions co-produces the award-winning hit drama series Sons of Anarchy and award-winning hit drama series Justified. FXP produces the critically acclaimed hit comedy series It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, The League, Louie, Archer, Wilfred, BrandX with Russell Brand, Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell and Legit.

FX is the flagship general entertainment basic cable network from Fox. Launched in June of 1994, FX is carried in more than 98 million homes. The diverse schedule includes a growing roster of critically acclaimed and award-winning hit drama and comedy series, arguably the finest library of acquired box-office hit movies, acquired hit series Two and a Half Men and How I Met Your Mother, and live sports with the UFC and NCAA college football.
