Travel Channel Renews Eight Primetime Series
"Airport 24/7: Miami," "Baggage Battles," "Bizarre Foods America," "Dangerous Grounds," "The Dead Files," "Ghost Adventures, "Hotel Impossible" and "Mysteries At The Museum" are all due back.

CHEVY CHASE, MD (January 22, 2013) - Travel Channel continues to grow its library of original travel entertainment programming and has renewed eight of its most popular series to air in 2013: "Airport 24/7: Miami," "Baggage Battles," "Bizarre Foods America" with Andrew Zimmern, "Dangerous Grounds," "The Dead Files," "Ghost Adventures, "Hotel Impossible" and "Mysteries At The Museum." The diverse and expansive content of the returning shows spotlights the world's most fascinating locations, guided by knowledgeable hosts in their respective fields. Season two of "Airport 24/7: Miami" brings back the nine larger-than-life characters whose jobs it is to keep one of America's largest airports running around the clock. The series grants an all-access pass inside the intense and dramatic world of Miami International Airport, considered a Category X airport, a prime target for a terrorist attack. With nearly 40 million passengers a year it's an airport the size of a small city. Every episode features a hotel either not living up to its potential or on the verge of closing. Melchiorri assesses each property and identifies its biggest problems. He then meets with the staff - from the owners and general managers, down to front desk receptionists and housekeeping - and determines the key operation issues. Joining Melchiorri on location are a variety of highly experienced designers including Blanche Garcia, Casey Noble and Alison Victoria, who will help transform key spaces in each hotel.
