He'll play Stuart Saperstein, "a tough cop with a lion's heart who is fiercely loyal to both his crew and his mother, with whom he still lives." Drea de Matteo, Gino Anthony Pesi, Hampton Fluker, Ray Liotta, Sarah Jeffery, Vincent Laresca and Warren Kole also star. (Deadline.com)

WRIGHT BROTHERS, THE (HBO, New!) - Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman's Playtone banner is developing a new mini-series at the pay channel which "tells the story of Wilbur and Orville Wright, who sold and repaired bicycles out of an Ohio shop to pay for their passion: the invention of flying machines that ushered in the aeronautical age right after the turn of the 20th Century. In 1903 on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, the brothers changed history by successfully flying the first heavier-than-air-powered machine that carried a pilot." Said effort will be based on David McCullough's book of the same name. (Deadline.com)
