DEUCE, THE (HBO; W: David Simon & George Pelecanos; D: Michelle MacLaren) - Margarita Levieva, Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. and Dominique Fishback have all signed onto the drama pilot, which chronicles the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York's Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s. Levieva will play Abigail "Abby" Parker, "an adventurous college student who strikes up a relationship with nightclub owner Vincent Martino (James Franco) who has ties to the burgeoning sex industry of early '70s Times Square"; with Gilliard as Chris Alston, "an NYPD patrolman working midtown Manhattan"; and Fishback as Darlene, a young, sweet-natured prostitute who's trying to survive on the street while under the thumb of a volatile, violent pimp." Maggie Gyllenhaal also stars. (Deadline.com)

WILDING, THE (USA, New!) - Writer Silka Luisa (To the Bone) and director Ciarán Foy (Citadel) are set to team for a two-hour backdoor pilot at the cable channel about "the Hayes family - a typical, loving blended family seeking a fresh start after their 17-year-old daughter, Kayla, is released from a mental health institution following ten years of treatment. Their ideals are quickly threatened, however, when Kayla's apparitions of the dead begin to haunt them once again." Universal Cable Productions is behind the project, which is set in suburban North Carolina but will film in Vancouver.
