ATYPICAL (Netflix) - Creator Robia Rashid has signed a new overall deal with producer Sony Pictures Television. (Deadline.com)
BEING JUDGED (FOX, New!) - Nkechi Carroll ("Rosewood") has booked a script order with a penalty for a new drama at the network about Josephine Graves: "No one likes Being Judged, least of all Josephine, who is struggling to figure out this thing called life, while balancing her demanding career, social life, and family responsibilities. Unfortunately for her, she has to do it all under the biggest, brightest, spotlight because at 27 years old she is the youngest judge in the history of America." Chernin Entertainment's Peter Chernin, Jenno Topping and Kristen Campo are also on board to executive produce for 20th Century Fox Television. (Deadline.com)
BRIGHT FUTURES (ABC, New!) - Hale Rothstein, Danny Segal and Isaac Schamis are set to team for a new comedy at the Alphabet about "a group of friends who are stumbling through the transition from the clueless, immature 20-somethings they are now, to the successful professionals they have the potential to be." Khalabo Ink Society's Kenya Barris will executive produce alongside Rothstein for ABC Studios with Segal and Schamis as co-executive producers. (Deadline.com)
CHAMPIONS (NBC) - Fortune Feimster has joined the cast of the midseason comedy as Ruby, "a close childhood friend to Vince (Anders Holm) and Matthew (Andy Favreau) and a popular trainer at their gym." (Deadline.com)
CHICAGO PD (NBC) - Zach Appelman will drop by the current season as Matt Miller, "the recently referenced new boyfriend of Intelligence rookie Kim Burgess." (TVLine.com)
LUCIFER (FOX) - Kevin Carroll will recur on the series as The Sinnerman, "a mysterious and twisted criminal mastermind with deep-seeded motivations who has set his sights on Lucifer (played Tom Ellis)." (TVLine.com)
PERFECT 10 (CBS, New!) - Craig Gerard and Matthew Zinman ("Me, Myself and I") have sold a hybrid comedy to the Eye about "a group of former high school classmates who become indispensable parts of each other's lives after reconnecting at their 10-year reunion." Kapital Entertainment's Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor will also executive produce for Warner Bros. Television. (Deadline.com)
RIVERDALE (The CW) - Hart Denton has been cast as Betty's long-lost brother Chic on the show's second season. (TVLine.com)
SHINE (FOX, New!) - Feature writer Duane Adler (Step Up) has sold a new drama to the network billed as "a character-driven, multigenerational dance show told through the eyes of three distinct women, each at a different point in their lives and careers. These women stand at a crossroads when it comes to their dreams and relationships, as they form the core of a family that once was a Las Vegas dynasty until it collapsed in scandal, betrayal, and heartbreak. Now they are banding together to reclaim what was theirs as well as try and repair the old wounds between them." Marc Platt and Adam Siegel will also executive produce via their 20th Century Fox Television-based Marc Platt Productions. A penalty is also attached. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED GREY'S ANATOMY SPIN-OFF (ABC) - Jay Hayden, Grey Damon, Okieriete Onaodowan, Danielle Savre and Barrett Doss have all landed principal roles on the upcoming spin-off series, which follows a group of heroic firefighters. They'll play firefighter Travis, Jack, Dean, Maya and Victoria, respectively. No specifics however were given. Jaina Lee Ortiz and Jason George also star. (Deadline.com)
