CRAIG HUNEGS TO ASSUME ROLE OF PRESIDENT, DISNEY TELEVISION STUDIOS, AFTER THE CLOSE OF THE 21ST CENTURY FOX, INC. ACQUISITION

The Walt Disney Company (NYSE: DIS) today announced that Craig Hunegs will assume the role of president, Disney Television Studios (DTV Studios), after the close of the 21st Century Fox, Inc. acquisition. He will report to Dana Walden, who, upon close of the 21st Century Fox, Inc. acquisition, will assume the role of chairman, Disney Television Studios and ABC Entertainment.

In this position, Hunegs will have oversight of all functions and areas of operation for Disney Television Studios, which includes ABC Studios, ABC Signature, Twentieth Century Fox Television and Fox 21 Television Studios. Reporting directly to Hunegs, once he assumes this role, will be Patrick Moran, president, ABC Studios; Jonathan Davis and Howard Kurtzman, presidents, Twentieth Century Fox Television; and Bert Salke, president, Fox 21 Television Studios.

Hunegs most recently served as president, Business and Strategy, Warner Bros. Television Group, and president, Warner Bros. Digital Networks, where he was responsible for overall Television Group performance and for creating growth across Warner Bros.' industry-leading television business.

In the core Television Group business, Hunegs actively managed production for U.S. broadcast, basic and premium cable networks and SVOD services, the growth of Warner Bros. Animation's kids business, expansion of international local production and the evolution of linear and on-demand TV distribution windows. Hunegs was also the lead deal-maker for all Television Group production divisions. He served on the board of The CW network, where he played an active role in setting its linear and digital distribution strategies. He was promoted to the WBTVG president role in May 2013.

Hunegs has been intimately involved with such shows as "Friends," "ER," "West Wing," "Big Bang Theory," "The Bachelor," "Ellen," "Shameless," "Queen Sugar," and all the DC Comics series on The CW and the DC Universe app.

Hunegs was the founding president of Warner Bros. Digital Networks and led the rapid build-out of Warner Bros. OTT services. Previously, he served as executive vice president, Warner Bros. Television Group, from 2006-2013, where he played a central role in managing the division and developing, planning and implementing its key initiatives.

Hunegs is a past board member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences Foundation, NATPE, The Alliance for Children's Rights and the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts. Hunegs is a trustee of Barnard College, Columbia University.
