THE '2019 AMERICAN MUSIC AWARDS(R)' IS BACK FOR A NIGHT OF UNFORGETTABLE MOMENTS AND MUSICAL PERFORMANCES, LIVE SUNDAY, NOV. 24 AT 8:00 P.M. EST ON ABC

ABC and dick clark productions announced today that the "2019 American Music Awards(R)," the world's largest fan-voted awards show, will broadcast live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, Nov. 24 (8:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on ABC.

The American Music Awards honors artists in multiple musical genres, including Pop/Rock, Alternative Rock, Country, Rap/Hip-Hop, Soul/R&B, Adult Contemporary, Contemporary Inspirational, Latin, EDM and Soundtrack, alongside awards for New Artist of the Year, Collaboration of the Year, Tour of the Year, Video of the Year, Favorite Song and Artist of the Year.

The "2018 American Music Awards," saw Taylor Swift break the record for most AMA wins ever by a female artist with 23, surpassing Whitney Houston's record of 21. Swift and Camila Cabello led the night with four trophies each, while Kane Brown and Cardi B each took home three awards. The show also featured a moving tribute to the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, with performances by Gladys Knight, CeCe Winans, Donnie McClurkin, Ledisi and Mary Mary.
