HOW TO LOSE A GUY IN 10 DAYS (Quibi, New!) - Guy Branum is looking to bring the 2003 romantic comedy starring Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey to the small screen at the short-form video service. The project will follow "a glib young online columnist and an oversexed advertising executive who both need to prove, once and for all, that they're capable of being monogamous. They soon discover, however, keeping a relationship is harder than Andie Anderson made it look." Paramount Television is producing. The CW was behind a previous effort in 2007 from Lynda Obst and Marc Rosen. (Deadline.com)
JEOPARDY!/WHEEL OF FORTUNE (Syndication) - Harry Friedman will step down as executive producer of both series when his current contract expires next May, capping a 25-year career. (Deadline.com)
MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH, THE (CBSAA) - Sarah Timberman and Carl Beverly's small screen take on the Walter Tevis novel-turned-David Bowie film was reportedly set up at Hulu prior to moving to CBS All Access. Writers Alex Kurtzman and Jenny Lumet subsequently came aboard to spearhead the project. (Deadline.com)
PRETTY (CBS, New!) - Lindsey Kraft and Santina Muha are set to star in a potential single-camera comedy at the Eye about "a ballsy, passionate woman (Muha) who moves from Jersey to L.A. to pursue her dreams of finding love and becoming the next Oprah." Kraft will also pen the project from a story by her and Muha. Kaley Cuoco, Michelle Nader and Danielle Stokdyk are the executive producers for the Warner Bros. Television-based Yes, Norman Productions with Kraft and Suzanne McCormack as co-executive producers and Muha as a producer. (Deadline.com)
SHOWTIME (HBO) - Jason Clarke has been tapped to play NBA legend Jerry West in the network's 1980s Los Angeles Lakers drama pilot, which is set to begin production next month. He's further billed as "the cantankerous tortured genius of basketball, who ought to be the perfect man to build the Lakers into a dynasty - if only he can get past his own worst enemy: Jerry West." (Deadline.com)
SWEET MAGNOLIAS (Netflix) - JoAnna Garcia Swisher has signed on to star in the upcoming drama as Maddie Townsend, "a low-key but resolute, warm and loving woman with a vocabulary like Southern poetry. She finds herself at a crossroads in her life and her best friends are trying desperately to convince her that now is the time for reinvention." She replaces Monica Potter, who had previously been tapped for the role. No reason for the change was given. (Deadline.com)
TWENTIES (BET) - Rapper Sean "Big Sean" Anderson has joined the cast of the Lena Waithe's upcoming comedy series. He'll play Tristan: "A student in Nia's yoga class. Tristan is a bit of a Luddite; he doesn't have a cellphone, rejects a lot of modern technology's triumphs, and maybe more of a nut than Nia can handle. In fact, Tristan is not a serial killer who flies under the radar to evade the law, he just believes in leading a natural life without the false dopamine hits that come from selfies and text messages and social media." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED THOMAS JOHN PROJECT (CBSAA, New!) - Celebrity medium Thomas John (Lifetime's "Seatbelt Psychic"), "a former Chicago drag queen who says he is a psychic medium with paranormal abilities," is set to be the focus of an upcoming series on the streaming service. James Corden's Fulwell 73 is behind the project, due later this year or early next year. No other details were given. (Deadline.com)
