AWKWAFINA (Comedy Central) - Jennifer Esposito is the latest to recur on the newcomer as Brenda, "an art teacher who catches Wally's (BD Wong) interest at a single-parent support group." (Deadline.com)
BETTY (A.K.A. SKATE KITCHEN) (HBO) - Crystal Moselle and Lesley Arfin's skateboarding comedy - inspired by the former's 2018 film, which follows "a diverse group of young women navigating their lives through the predominantly male oriented world of skateboarding" - has received a six-episode order from the pay channel. Original co-stars Dede Lovelace, Ajani Russell, Moonbear, Rachelle Vinberg and Nina Moran have been cast as regulars in the series (Janay, Indigo, Honeybear, Camille and Kirt, respectively), which is currently in production in New York City. Arfin Material, Untitled Entertainment, Bow & Arrow Entertainment, RT Features and Kotva Films are all behind the project, with Igor Srubshchik and Jason Weinberg also executive producing; Michael Sherman, Matthew Perniciaro and Rodrigo Teixeira co-executive producing; and Izabella Tzenkova and Lizzie Nastro producing. BOSCH (Amazon) - Julie Ann Emery has been tapped for a recurring role on the upcoming sixth season as Sylvia Reece, "one of the FBI agents brought in to investigate a murder on Bosch's turf." (Deadline.com)
DEPUTY (FOX) - Chris Grismer has been tapped as a co-executive producer/in-house director on the midseason drama. (Deadline.com)
HAWAII FIVE-0 (CBS) - Katrina Law has joined the cast of the veteran drama's 10th season as Quinn Liu, "a former staff sergeant with Army CID recently demoted for insubordination. After an explosive collision with Five-O on a case involving veterans, she soon becomes a loyal ally to the team that always has valued integrity over playing by the rules. Sharp-tongued in several languages, Quinn has a deep understanding of military culture, a mysterious past, and a deft ability to match wits with McGarrett (Alex O'Loughlin)." (Deadline.com)
HOMELAND (Showtime) - Cliff Chamberlain and Hilary Jardine will recur on the show's final season as Mike Dunne, "the CIA Station Chief in Kabul, Afghanistan;" and Claudatte Fletcher, "a former State Department employee turned freelance consultant with a global network of assets," respectively. SIREN (Freeform) - Tiffany Lonsdale will join the cast of the show's third season as Tia, "an extremely intelligent mermaid with a highly evolved knowledge of the human condition. She speaks several languages, understands advanced science and technology and was trained as a high level warrior." (Deadline.com)
ST. ELMO'S FIRE (NBC, New!) - Josh Berman has sold a modern adaptation of Joel Schumacher's cult classic 1985 feature to the Peacock about "a group of close friends struggling with career, commitment and the responsibilities of adulthood." Sony Pictures Television is behind the project with Berman and Chris King executive producing via their studio-based Osprey Productions. ABC and E! both previously took stabs at a small screen take with different writers. (Deadline.com)
TELL ME A STORY (CBSAA) - Caleb Castille and Christopher Meyer are both bound for the anthology's second season as "brothers, with Castille starring as the smart, dominant older sibling Ron, and Meyer playing the soft-spoken, fiercely loyal Derek." (Variety.com)
UNTITLED WALKING DEAD SPIN-OFF PROJECT (AMC) - Joe Holt will recur on the franchise's latest installment as Leo Bennett, "a solid family man and respected professor with a generous heart and unwavering optimism for the future.
