YOUTUBE ORIGINALS AND SUPERSTAR CREATOR FAZE RUG PUSH 8 FELLOW YOUTUBE CREATORS TO THEIR LIMIT IN ALL-NEW COMPETITION SERIES "#1 CHICKEN"

6-PART SERIES FEATURING TERRIFYING CHALLENGES DEBUTS SEPTEMBER 22 ON FAZE RUG'S YOUTUBE CHANNEL

LOS ANGELES, CA, SEPTEMBER 10, 2021 -- YouTube Originals today announced "#1 Chicken," an all-new 6-episode competition series hosted by Brian "FaZe Rug" Awadis (19.9M subscribers), superstar YouTube creator, vlogger, and co-owner of FaZe Clan known for his popular gaming and lifestyle content. The premiere episode of "#1 Chicken" will debut on Wednesday, September 22 at 12pm PT / 3pm ET on FaZe Rug's YouTube Channel.

With FaZe Rug at the helm, "#1 Chicken" starts with 8 creators who compete against each other in one terrifying 'Chicken Challenge' per episode. Each challenge puts the creators' bravery to the test with hilariously over-the-top and cringe-worthy antics that will reveal who can handle things like crawling creatures, daring heights, exotic smoothies, and much more - and who is too "chicken." In a twist on the classic reality competition format, the winning creator each week will leave the show avoiding whatever unpleasant challenge awaits their competitors in the next episode. The last player standing earns the title of "#1 Chicken."

The YouTube creators competing to participate in the fewest challenges throughout the series are: beauty and fashion creator Amanda Steele (2.57M subscribers), former college athlete Deestroying (3.63M subscribers), gamer and content creator Alexander Prynkiewicz aka FaZe Adapt (6.1M subscribers), dance fitness creator Caleb Marshall of The Fitness Marshall (3.3M subscribers), FaZe Rug's best friend and "filmer" Noah Rojas aka Simplistic (674K subscribers), "mukbang" creator Tasha Proctor of StephAndTasha (669K subscribers), viral creator and vlogger Anthony Jabro of ShermanTheVerman (813K subscribers), and beauty and comedy creator Quenlin Blackwell (916K subscribers).

"#1 Chicken," based on a TV Asahi format, is produced by Critical Content, with Jenny Daly, Tom Forman, Jon Beyer, and Ian Mallahan serving as executive producers. Susanne Daniels is Global Head of Original Content for YouTube. Alex Piper serves as Head of Unscripted for YouTube Originals, with Lauren Celinski and Ryan Bratton overseeing "#1 Chicken" for YouTube Originals.
