1883 (Paramount+) - Graham Greene is the latest addition to the prequel series as Spotted Eagle, "a Crow elder who spots the wagon train and tells James Dutton about the place, Paradise Valley, where he should settle with his family." (Variety.com)
A.P. BIO (Peacock) - Series creator Mike O'Brien took to Twitter with the news the series has been canceled - again - after four seasons. (@MikeOBrienXOXO)
DISNEY FAM JAM/JUST ROLL WITH IT/VAMPIRINA (Disney Channel) - The cable network has confirmed all three series have ended their runs. (TVLine.com)
GABBY DURAN & THE UNSITTABLES (Disney Channel) - The network has pulled the plug on the series after two seasons. "Last May, we wrapped production on Gabby Duran & The Unsittables. It has a really terrific cast and talented producers who safely made a second season during a pandemic," a spokesperson said in statement. (Deadline.com)
KANSAS CITY (Paramount+, New!) - Sylvester Stallone is attached to star in a new drama at the streamer which "follows a New York City Italian mobster, played by Stallone, forced to relocate to the most unlikely of places - Kansas City, Missouri. Set in present day, legendary mobster Sal (Stallone) is faced with the startling task of reestablishing his Italian mafia family to the modernized, straight-shooting town of Kansas City, Missouri. There, Sal encounters surprising and unsuspecting characters who follow him along his unconventional path to power." Taylor Sheridan and Terence Winter are behind the project, with Stallone, Braden Aftergood, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle and Bob Yari also executive producing for Balboa Productions, 101 Studios and MTV Entertainment Studios. A writers' room, run by Winter, is currently underway. (Deadline.com)
KIDS BAKING CHAMPIONSHIP/VALERIE'S HOME COOKING (Food Network) - Host Valerie Bertinelli has closed a deal to continue on the Discovery-owned network. She'll likewise develop new series projects on an exclusive basis. (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED DESTIN DANIEL CRETTON PROJECT (Disney+, New!) - "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" filmmaker Destin Daniel Cretton has signed a multi-year overall deal with Marvel Studios and Onyx Collective. As part of the pact he'll develop a new Marvel Cinematic Universe series for Disney+. No specifics about the project were given. He'll executive produce alongside Asher Goldstein via their Family Owned banner. Cretton is also slated to helm the sequel to "Shang-Chi." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED PENGUIN PROJECT (HBO Max) - Colin Farrell has formally signed onto "The Batman" spin-off series, which would "delve into The Penguin's rise to power in the Gotham criminal underworld." Farrell plays said role in the upcoming feature. He'll also executive produce alongside Lauren LeFranc, Matt Reeves and Dylan Clark. (Variety.com)
WHEEL OF TIME, THE (Amazon) - The show's second season has cast Guy Roberts as Uno Nomesta, "a gruff one-eyed soldier and tracker who serves Lord Agelmar"; Arnas Fedaravicius as Masema, "a quiet and intense warrior who serves Lord Agelmar"; and Gregg Chillingirian as Ingtar Shinowa, "a lord and soldier from war-ravaged lands." Thomas Chaanhing's Lord Agelmar and Sandra Yi Sencindiver's Lady Amalisa will also presumably return. (Deadline.com)
