ANGELYNE (Peacock) - Hamish Linklater has signed onto the Emmy Rossum-led limited series as Rick Krause, "the president of the Angelyne fan club and her decades-long confidant." He replaces Jefferson Hall, "who had to drop out after a scheduling conflict." (THR.com)
CONNECTION (NBC, New!) - Nic Sheff has sold a potential drama to the network which "centers around a boy who went missing ten years ago. Long presumed kidnapped or dead, he came back and claims to have been abducted by aliens. The strangest part? He's not lying." Sheldon Turner and Jennifer Klein's Vendetta Productions and A+E Studios are also behind the project. All three will executive produce. (Deadline.com)
DELIA GRAVES AND THE ORDER OF MERLIN (NBC, New!) - Phillip Iscove has likewise landed a proposed drama at the network which "revolves around the title character Delia, a coroner in a small town where mysterious and unexplainable crimes are on the rise. Fearing for her safety her estranged mother shows up after 20 years to reveal that Delia had a spell cast on her at birth that will allow her to access Merlin's powers and that she will need to train to protect the town, and maybe even the world." Justin Lin and Andrew Schneider of Perfect Storm Entertainment will also executive produce for Universal Television. (Deadline.com)
GOOD DOCTOR, THE (ABC) - Original cast member Antonia Thomas will reprise her role as Claire Browne in multiple episodes of the series this spring. No specifics about her return were given. (Deadline.com)
GREY'S ANATOMY (ABC) - Skylar Astin has booked a recurring role on the veteran drama, Todd Eames: "Charming and handsome with a gentle soul, Eames holds a PhD in environmental sciences and loves a good spreadsheet. He is close with his sister, who is a pregnant patient at Grey Sloan Memorial.” Will he be a potential love interest for OB-GYN resident Jo Wilson (Camilla Luddington), who so recently consummated a long-brewing will-they-or-won't-they situation with her best friend Link (Chris Carmack)? Who can say!" (Variety.com)
HEAD, THE (HBO Max) - Hovik Keuchkerian, Moe Dunford, Josefin Nelden and Olivia Morris have all been cast in the show's second season. They'll be joined by returning cast members John Lynch and Katharine O'Donnelly. (Variety.com)
HUNGRY (NBC) - Demi Lovato has stepped down from acting duties on the multi-camera comedy pilot, citing scheduling issues. She'll remain an executive producer on the project, which will look to recast her role. (Deadline.com)
JOSEP (ABC) - Rory O'Malley and Mia Katigbak have both been cast in the Jo Koy-led comedy pilot. O'Malley will play Seth, "an earnest guy married to Jo's sister, Gemmalyn. He loves his Filipino wife and her family so much he has embraced all parts of their culture and now acts more Filipino than Jo does." And Katigbak will play Lorna, "Jo's mom, who is a little Filipina force of nature. She loves Jo and spoils him with her homemade Filipino cooking, and when he gets out of line, she isn't afraid to whack him with her slippers. Lorna connects Jo to his past and their family history and also provides the love and support he needs in his new life post-divorce." (Deadline.com)
LOVE, VICTOR (Hulu) - Nico Greetham will recur on the show's upcoming third and final season as Nick, "a new friend Victor (Michael Cimino) meets at church." (Deadline.com)
NEMESIS (Disney+, New!) - Willem Bosch and Pieter Kuijpers are spearheading an eight-part adaptation of Simon de Waal's "Nemesis" for the streaming service, marking its first Dutch scripted original: "Police thriller Nemesis from Dutch indie Pupkin follows Public Prosecutor Sylvia van Maele who, after a brutal murder of a key witness in her own house, decides to take matters into her own hands. With an underground team of detectives, she opens the hunt for a group of international criminals who until then have remained out of reach of the law." (Deadline.com)
PARKER (Amazon, New!) - Donald E. Westlake's series of highly popular "Parker" crime fiction novels is being developed a series of feature film and television projects. Robert Downey, Jr. is set to star as Parker, "a professional thief who approaches his job with a straightforward, no-nonsense work ethic," in the debut installment, "Play Dirty," with Charles Mondry and Anthony Bagarozzi directing from a script by Shane Black. Joel Silver and Team Downey's Susan Downey are also among the executive producers for Amazon Studios. No specifics about the TV efforts were given. (Deadline.com)
RAMBLE ON (New!) - Doug Ellin has completed production on an independently financed comedy pilot which will star Charlie Sheen, Kevin Connolly and Kevin Dillon as themselves, "Hollywood veterans looking to reinvent their voices alongside up and comers looking to establish their own." Ellin and Ted Foxman's Angry Lunch "are in talks with buyers for the show but could also look at new ways of distribution." (Deadline.com)
SANTA CLAUSE, THE (Disney+) - Kal Penn will star opposite Tim Allen in the limited series as Simon Choksi, "an ambitious game inventor and product developer and a devoted single father. Simon can talk the tech-mogul talk but can't walk the walk, and his dreams of being the next Bezos falls drastically short. But all that changes after a visit to the North Pole." (Deadline.com)
UNTITLED PHOEBE WALLER-BRIDGE PROJECT (Amazon, New!) - The streamer has greenlit a new project from Phoebe Waller-Bridge with shooting set to begin by the end of the year. No other details were given about the project, part of her three-year overall deal with Amazon Studios. (Deadline.com)
