Friday's Broadcast Ratings: NBC Tops Demos in Low Key Night

Here are the highlights of the 13 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (7/13/18):

NBC (2.830 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #1) was the demo champ on Friday with an encore "American Ninja Warrior" (2.759 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1) and a new "Dateline NBC" (2.972 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1).

ABC (2.920 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #2) then was a close second with its lineup of "Quantico" (2.688 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5), "What Would You Do?" (2.597 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) and "20/20" (3.476 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T1).

Next up was CBS (3.660 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.4, #3) with the premiere of "Whistleblower" (3.068 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5) alongside repeats of "Hawaii Five-0" (3.571 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5) and "Blue Bloods" (4.342 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T5).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.102 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T4) served up repeats of "The Resident" (1.340 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.3, #9) and "The Orville" (0.863 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T10).

And finally, a new "Masters of Illusion" (1.093 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T10) and second runs of "Masters of Illusion" (0.985 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T10) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (0.987 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T10) on The CW (1.013 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T4) rounded out the evening.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.4/2 with an encore; "Late Show," 0.3/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3 with an encore.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 0.8/3 in metered-market households with an encore; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4 with an encore. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.3/2 in 18-49 with an encore; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1 with an encore.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.6/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.

NBC (4.028 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.7, #1) was the network to beat on Friday with an encore of "America's Got Talent" (4.075 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1) and a new "Dateline NBC" (3.934 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1).

ABC (3.342 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #2) then was a close second with its mix of "Shark Tank" (3.370 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T1), "Primetime: What Would You Do?" (3.244 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4) and "20/20" (3.412 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T4).

Next up was CBS (3.983 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) and its second run lineup of "MacGyver" (3.817 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6), "Salvation" (3.304 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "Blue Bloods" (4.828 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6).

Meanwhile, FOX (1.515 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T3) likewise opted for encores of "MasterChef" (1.650 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T6) and "Beat Shazam" (1.381 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.4, #10).

And finally, a new "Masters of Illusion" (1.014 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) plus repeats of "Masters of Illusion" (0.912 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) and "Penn & Teller: Fool Us" (1.091 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.2, #T11) rounded out the night on The CW (1.027 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.2, #5).
