Thursday's Broadcast Ratings: "The Big Bang Theory" Tops Charts for CBS

Here are the highlights of the 17 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (4/18/19):

CBS (6.651 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.1, #1) was the network to beat on Thursday with its mix of "The Big Bang Theory" (11.172 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 1.8, #1), the return of "Life in Pieces" (6.843 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3), "Mom" (6.623 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T3), a second "Life in Pieces" (5.058 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7) and "SWAT" (5.104 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T7).

ABC (4.611 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 0.8, #2) then captured the silver with fresh installments of "Grey's Anatomy" (6.099 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2), "Station 19" (4.960 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and "For the People" (2.773 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11).

Next up was FOX (2.375 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.6, #3) with the penultimate weeks of "Gotham" (2.068 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9) and "The Orville" (2.683 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9).

Meanwhile, NBC (2.247 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) offered up new episodes of "Superstore" (3.036 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5), "AP Bio" (1.835 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11), "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" (1.790 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11) and "Abby's" (1.535 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T15) plus a repeat "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (2.643 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11).

And finally, new episodes of "Supernatural" (1.301 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T15) and "In the Dark" (0.670 million viewers, #17; adults 18-49: 0.2, #17) on The CW (0.986 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5) closed out the night.

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.3/2; "Late Show," 0.4/3; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," 0.4/3.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" averaged a 1.0/3 in metered-market households and a 0.3/2 in 18-49 in the Local People Meters.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/4 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.0/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.2/2 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/1.

Next up was NBC (3.121 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) and its combination of "Superstore" (2.846 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #10), "AP Bio" (1.943 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11), a repeat "Will & Grace" (1.800 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T15), "Champions" (1.657 million viewers, #16; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T15) and "Chicago Fire" (5.241 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 1.0, #T7).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.336 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up fresh installments of "Gotham" (2.190 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11) and "Showtime at the Apollo" (2.481 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T11).
