WEEK No. 9:

ABC turned in another competitive performance among young adults during the week of November 14, 2005. ABC finished a strong second in Adults 18-49, pacing within two-tenths of a rating point and tied in audience share with CBS (4.4/12 vs. 4.6/12). ABC ranked No. 1 in Adults 18-49 on 4 of 7 nights (Mon./Wed/Sat./Sun.). The Network ranked No. 1 for the week in Adults 18-34, beating out CBS by 13% among the younger segment of the key sales demographic (3.6/11 vs. 3.2/10). ABC has qualified as the No. 1 network in Adults 18-34 on 7 of 9 weeks this season, continuing to deliver most wins in the demo during any season in 6 years � since the 1999-00 TV Season. ABC also took first-place for the week among Women 18-34 (4.2/12) and Kids 2-11 (1.8/7).

� Marking its third consecutive week of growth, ABC logged its second-strongest numbers of season in Total Viewers (11.7 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.4/12), representing its best delivery since season premiere week � best since w/o 9/19/05.

� ABC was the biggest gainer over the same week a year ago (w/o 11/14/05), up by 1.2 million viewers (11.7 million vs. 10.5 million) and by 13% among Adults 18-49 (4.4/12 vs. 3.9/10).

� Through the first 18 nights of the 2005 November Sweep ABC is exhibiting the most growth among the networks, increasing its primetime delivery by 1.0 million viewers (11.3 million vs. 10.3 million) and by 10% in Adults 18-49 (4.3/11 vs. 3.9/10) over the same number of nights last November. In fact, ABC is the only network to grow its Adult 18-49 audience November to November. Each of the other networks are either flat or down.

Rankings: ABC claimed 5 of the Top 10 TV programs of the week in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, including 4 of the Top 5: �Desperate Housewives� � No. 1, �Grey�s Anatomy� � No. 3, �Lost� � No. 4, �NFL Monday Night Football� No. 5 and �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� � No. 8. �Desperate Housewives� has been the No. 1 television show of the week in Adults 18-49 on each of its original telecasts this season. ABC aired 4 of the Top 10 most-watched shows of the week. ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� was again the No. 1 show of the week in each of key adult (AD18-34/AD18-49/AD25-54) and women demographics (W18-34/W18-49/W25-54). ABC�s �Monday Night Football� ranked as the week�s No. 1 program in each of the men demographics (M18-34/M18-49/M25-54). ABC�s broad appealing �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� was again the No. 1 broadcast during the week among Kids 2-11. In addition, �Home Edition� stood as the week�s No. 1 unscripted show among Adults 18-49.

Monday

ABC took first place Monday night in Total Viewers (15.3 million) and Adults 18-49 (5.7/15). ABC has been the No. 1 network on Monday night in Adults 18-49 on 10 of the past 11 weeks.

�Wife Swap� (8:00-9:00 p.m. Note: �Wife Swap� airs at various times across the U.S.)*

ABC�s �Wife Swap� earned second place in its time period among Adults 18-49 (3.0/8).

� �Wife Swap� has improved the time period for ABC by sizeable margins. Versus ABC�s delivery last season in the time period with regular programming during the run of �Monday Night Football,� �Wife Swap� has improved the Net�s delivery by 2.7 million viewers (7.5 million vs. 4.8 million) and by 81% in Adults 18-49 (2.9/8 vs. 1.6/5).

�Monday Night Football: Dallas at Philadelphia� (9:07 p.m. � 11:51 p.m.)

ABC�s coverage of �NFL Monday Night Football� game, featuring Dallas at Philadelphia, delivered an average audience of 18.5 million viewers and a 7.1 rating, 18 share among Adults 18-49. The contest was relatively one-sided for most of the game, with the Eagles leading 20-7 until the final few minutes of the 4th Quarter. Then with less than 4 minutes left in the contest, the Cowboys scored two touchdowns to win by a score of 21-20.

� ABC�s �MNF� stood as the No. 1 TV program of the across all key adult demographics: AD18-34 (6.2/18), AD 18-49 (7.1/18) and AD25-54 (8.0/19).

Tuesday

�According to Jim� (8:00-8:30 p.m.)

In the 8:00 p.m. half-hour, ABC�s �According to Jim� attracted its second-largest audience (8.0 million) this season.

�Hot Properties� (8:30-9:00 p.m.)

A special Tuesday telecast of �Hot Properties� drew 6.8 million viewers and a 2.4 rating, 6 share among Adults 18-49, posting the series� best numbers in both measures.

�Commander In Chief� (9:00-10:01 p.m.)

Opposite the highest-rated hour of CBS� �CMA Awards�, ABC�s �Commander In Chief� posted week-to-week increases among Men 18-34 (1.7/5 vs. 1.6/5) and Teens 12-17 (1.2/3 vs. 1.1/3).

� The ABC drama delivered strong tune-in for the Net during the 9:00 p.m. hour, jumping from its lead-in by 5.8 million viewers (12.6 million vs. 6.8 million) and by 46% in Adults 18-49 (3.5/8 vs. 2.4/6). From start to finish, �Commander In Chief� gained 1.3 million viewers (11.9 million to 13.2 million) and 13% among Adults 18-49 (3.2/8 to 3.6/8).

�Boston Legal� (10:01-11:00 p.m.)

�Boston Legal� was up from the prior week among Men 18-34 (2.1/6 vs. 1.9/7) and Teens 12-17 (1.0/4 vs. 0.8/3).

Wednesday

ABC won Wednesday night across the adult demos (AD18-34 � 4.9/14, AD18-49 � 5.7/15 and AD25-54 � 6.6/15). The Net delivered a dominant win on the evening in the key Adult 18-49 sales demographic, beating second-place CBS by 36% (5.7/15 vs. 4.2/11).

� Among Total Viewers (13.8 million) and Adults 18-49 (5.7/15), ABC posted substantial increases from the prior Wednesday (12.6 million & 5.1/13 on 11/9/05) and from the same night last November (12.2 million & 4.9/13 on 11/17/04).

�George Lopez� (8:00-8:30 p.m.)

ABC�s �George Lopez� took second place at 8:00 p.m. among Adults 18-49 (2.8/8). �George Lopez� outdrew its comedy competition in the time period, �Fox�s� �That �70s Show,� by 1.3 million viewers (8.1 million vs. 6.8 million).

�Freddie� (8:30-9:00 p.m.)

ABC�s �Freddie� moved ABC up into the No. 1 position at 8:30 p.m., leading its half-hour by 16% in Adults 18-49 (3.6/10 vs. 3.1/8 � NBC). Versus its comedy competition in the half-hour, ABC�s �Freddie� topped Fox�s �Stacked� by 3.2 million viewers (8.6 million vs. 5.4 million) and by 50% in Adults 18-49 (3.6/9 vs. 2.4/6). In viewers and young adults, �Freddie� delivered the series� second-highest numbers ever � best since its series debut telecast on 10/12/05.

� For the sixth straight week (on all 6 of its broadcasts), �Freddie� grew from its �George Lopez� lead-in across each of the key adult demos: AD18-34 (3.2/9 vs. 2.1/7), AD18-49 (3.6/9 vs. 2.8/8) and AD25-54 (4.2/10 vs. 3.4/9).

�Lost� (9:00-10:04 p.m.)

Continuing to gain momentum, ABC�s �Lost� attracted an average audience of 21.9 million viewers and delivered a 9.2 rating, 22 share among Adults 18-49. ABC led the 9 o�clock hour by wide margins over its nearest competition (CBS� �Criminal Minds� = 14.4 million & 4.1/10). �Lost� was again the No. 1 TV show on Wednesday night in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, holding the top position on all 7 of its original telecasts this season.

� Growing by 1.9 million viewers and by 11% in Adults 18-49 week-to-week (20.0 million & 8.3/20 on 11/9/05), �Lost� generated its largest audience in 6 weeks and its top Adult 18-49 rating in 4 weeks � since 10/5/05 and 10/19/05, respectively.

�Invasion� (10:04-11:00 p.m.)

In the 10 o�clock hour, ABC�s �Invasion� defeated NBC�s time period veteran, �Law & Order,� across each of the adult demographics: AD18-34 (3.8/11 vs. 2.4/7), AD18-49 (4.2/11 vs. 3.4/9) and AD25-54 (5.0/12 vs. 4.4/10).

� �Invasion� marked its best performance in 4 weeks among viewers (10.3 million) and young adults (4.2/11) � since 10/19/05.

Thursday

�Primetime� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

Featuring an hour long look inside the marriage of Anna Nicole Smith and her now deceased millionaire husband, Texas oil tycoon J. Howard Marshall, ABC News� �Primetime� drew the newsmagazine�s second-highest numbers of the season among Total Viewers (7.2 million), Adults 18-49 (2.5/6) and Adults 25-54 (2.9/7).

Friday

ABC earned a solid second place on Friday among Adults 18-49 (2.4/8), beating third-place NBC by 20% (2.0/6).

� ABC matched its second-highest Adult 18-49 rating on the night this season. Over the last two weeks, the Net has seen its two highest-rated Fridays of the season in the key young adult sales demographic.

�Supernanny� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

ABC�s �Supernanny� took second place in its hour among Adults 18-49 (2.1/7), while ranking No. 1 among Women 18-34 (2.5/9 - tie).

�Hope & Faith� (9:00-9:30 p.m.)

�Hope & Faith� took second place in its half-hour among Adults 18-49 (2.5/8), with its second-highest number this season (behind only the prior week). In fact on each of its last two telecasts, �Hope & Faith� has produced the series� strongest numbers since February � since 2/18/05.

�Hot Properties� (9:30-10:00 p.m.)

ABC�s freshman comedy, �Hot Properties,� earned second place in the 9:30 p.m. half-hour in Adults 18-49 (2.1/6-tie).

�20/20� (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC News� �20/20� held second place in the 10 o�clock hour among Adults 18-49 (2.8/9) and Adults 25-54 (3.4/9). The ABC newsmagazine ranked No. 1 in the time slot among Women 18-34 (2.9/10-tie).

� �20/20� tied its highest Adult 18-49 rating in 6 weeks - since 10/7/05.

Saturday

ABC ranked No. 1 across the board on Saturday with a rebroadcast of the theatrical �Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets.� The Net won the night among Total Viewers (7.7 million), across each of the adult demographics (AD18-34 � 2.2/8, AD18-49 - 2.7/8 and AD25-54 � 3.2/9), among Teens 12-17 (1.9/8) and Kids 2-11 (2.6/10). Gaining viewers during each half-hour throughout the night, the �ABC Saturday Movie of the Week� grew by 2.3 million viewers (6.4 million to 8.7 million) and 60% in Adults 18-49 (2.0/7 to 3.2/9) from beginning to end.

� ABC posted its highest Saturday non-sports Adult 18-49 rating in nearly 9 months � since 2/26/05. The Net drew its largest audience on the night this season.

� The replay of �Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets� was up from its original telecast on ABC last May by 3% in Total Viewers and by 17% in Adults 18-49 (7.5 million & 2.3/8 on 5/7/05).

� Versus the same Saturday last November, ABC improved its delivery by 1.5 million viewers and by 42% among Adults 18-49 (6.2 million & 1.9/6 on 11/20/04).

Sunday

For the 9th straight Sunday, ABC ranked as the No. 1 network among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. ABC topped its nearest competition during prime, NFL-boosted CBS, by 1.8 million viewers (18.7 million vs. 16.9 million) and by 69% in Adults 18-49 (7.6/18 vs. 4.5/11). Making ABC�s victory even more noteworthy is the fact that CBS had a high-rated NFL football overrun during the first hour of primetime as a lead-in to its lineup.

� ABC drew its largest Sunday audience of the season, while marking its second-highest number this season among Adults 18-49. Additionally, the Network delivered considerable increases over the same Sunday last November (15.9 million & 6.6/16 on 11/21/04).

� ABC broadcast the Top 3 television shows on Sunday evening among Adults 18-49, including �Desperate Housewives,� �Grey�s Anatomy� and �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,� respectively. �Desperate Housewives� and �Grey�s Anatomy� stood as the 2 most-watched programs of the night.

�America�s Funniest Home Videos� (7:00-8:00 p.m.)

Airing opposite CBS� NFL overrun from 7:00-8:00 p.m., �America�s Funniest Home Videos� remained the top non-sports program in its hour among Adults 18-49 (3.4/9).

� �America�s Funniest Home Videos� drew its largest audience (11.0 million) in 1 year and top Adult 18-49 number (3.4/9) since February � since 11/28/04 and 2/20/05, respectively.

�Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� (8:00-9:00 p.m.)

Jumping from its strong lead-in, ABC�s �Extreme Makeover: Home Edition� dominated its time period in Adults 18-49, beating out second-place Fox in the hour by 47% (6.6/16 vs. 4.5/11). The broad skewing program also ranked No. 1 in its hour among Adults 18-34 (5.7/15), Adults 25-54 (7.4/16) and Kids 2-11 (5.0/16). Along with ranking as the highest-rated unscripted show of the week in Adults 18-49, ABC�s �Home Edition� also qualifies as the No. 1 unscripted TV show this season in the key young adult sales demographic.

�Desperate Housewives� (9:00-10:02 p.m.)

The No. 1 show on Sunday on each of its original telecasts this season, ABC�s �Desperate Housewives� beat its nearest competition during the 9 o�clock hour by 9.3 million viewers (25.9 million vs. 16.6 million � CBS) and by 162% in Adults 18-49 (11.0/24 vs. 4.2/9 � Fox).

�Grey�s Anatomy� (10:02-11:00 p.m.)

Continuing to deliver its best-ever retention of its �Desperate Housewives� lead-in, �Grey�s Anatomy� took full command of 10 o�clock hour. The ABC drama bested its closest competitor in the time slot by 8.4 million viewers (20.3 million vs. 11.9 million � CBS) and defeated CBS and NBC together in the time period by 50% in Adults 18-49 (9.3/23 vs. 6.2/15 � CBS and NBC combined). Television�s No. 1 10 o�clock drama on any night of the week, ABC�s �Grey�s Anatomy� topped CBS and NBC�s combined Adult 25-54 delivery in the hour by 28% (10.1/22 vs. 7.9/17 � CBS and NBC combined).

� For the second week in a row, �Grey�s Anatomy� produced season highs among Total Viewers and Adults 18-49. On both counts it was the series� second-strongest performance ever, behind only its first season finale last May
