Hitting Season Highs in Total Viewers and Adults 18-49, ABC's "DWTS the Results Show" Outdraws Fox's "House" and is Tuesday's Most-Watched TV Show for the Third Time in Four Weeks

ABC's "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" Leads the 10 O'clock Hour in Viewers and Young Adults, Beating NBC's "Law & Order: SVU"

Tuesday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC delivered its best Tuesday numbers this season in both Total Viewers (14.6 million) and Adults 18-49 (4.1/11), standing as the most-watched television network on the evening. In addition, ABC ranked No. 1 on Tuesday among Women 18-49 (5.7/14), Women 25-54 (6.9/15) and Kids 2-11 (3.5/13).

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" (8:00-8:30 p.m.)

ABC's annual broadcast of "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" took second to CBS' "NCIS" in the half-hour in both Total Viewers (10.0 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.3/10). The animated special led the slot among Women 18-49 (4.0/11) and Kids 2-11 (4.9/16).

"A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving" attracted its largest audience ever on ABC since its debut on the Network in 2001.

"He's a Bully, Charlie Brown" (8:30-9:00 p.m.)

Building on its lead in viewers and young adults, the animated special, "He's a Bully, Charlie Brown," also took second in its time period in both Total Viewers (10.4 million) and Adults 18-49 (3.5/9). "He's a Bully, Charlie Brown" won its time-slot among Kids 2-11 (6.1/19).

"He's a Bully, Charlie Brown" was up by nearly 1.0 million viewers and by 6% in Adults 18-49 compared to its debut performance the previous year (9.5 million & 3.3/8 in Adults 18-49 on 11/20/06).

"Dancing with the Stars the Results Show" (9:00-10:00 p.m.)

For the third time in four weeks, ABC's "Dancing with the Stars the Results Show" outdrew Fox's "House" in Total Viewers (20.7 million vs. 16.8 million season best + 3.9 million) to win the 9 o'clock hour and stand as Tuesday's most-watched TV show. The ABC dancing results show towered over its unscripted competition, the second hour of NBC's "The Biggest Loser," by 12.8 million viewers and by 44% in Adults 18-49 (7.9 million & 3.4/8 in Adults 18-49). Actress Jennie Garth was the ninth celebrity dancer to be eliminated from the competition this season.

ABC's "DWTS the Results Show" saw increases for the second straight week, hitting season highs with both Total Viewers and Adults 18-49.

"The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" (10:00-11:00 p.m.)

ABC's "The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" won the 10'clock hour, beating NBC's "Law & Order: SVU" by 1.1 million viewers (12.8 million vs. 11.7 million) and by 5% in Adults 18-49 (4.1/11 vs. 3.9/10).

"The Bachelor: After the Final Rose" grew by 4.8 million viewers and by 52% in Adults 18-49 compared to the most recent "After the Final Rose" edition in Spring 2007 (8.0 million & 2.7/8 in Adults 18-49 on 5/22/07).

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year to year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating trends based on the Live + Same Day data stream may be somewhat distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has more than doubled from 10% at the same point in 2006 up to 21% currently. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. Therefore, the only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
