Coming off its most-watched year in the network's history, propelled by "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" and several high-performing movies, most notably the premiere movie event of "Another Cinderella Story," January 09 wrapped as ABC Family's most-watched January ever in Prime, and most-watched non-December across all key demos, including Total Viewers (1.5 million), Adults 18-34 (372,000), Adults 18-49 (650,000) and Viewers 12-34 (654,000). Also impressive, in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34 (252,000), this month was the net's third-most-watched month in its history.

January's No. 1 cable network in Prime in Females 12-34 (474,000), producing best-ever monthly deliveries, ABC Family was home to TV's No. 1 scripted series with "Secret Life" and TV's No. 1 movie with "Another Cinderella Story," as both programs, featuring multiple telecasts, accounted for 4 of the month's Top 5 cable telecasts overall in the key Nielsen measure.

� A Top 5 cable network for the month in Prime in key targets, ABC Family improved its competitive showing versus January 08 significantly: No. 4 in Women 18-34 (vs. No. 9), No. 5 in Women 18-49 (vs. No. 9), No. 4 in Viewers 12-34 (vs. No. 11) and No. 1 in Females 12-34 (vs. No. 5).

o Additionally, ABC Family advanced its competitive standing in other key demos to place among the Top 10 cable nets in Prime in Total Viewers (No. 9 vs. No. 18), Adults 18-34 (No. 8 vs. No. 12) and Adults 18-49 (No. 10 vs. No. 19).

o In January 09, The Walt Disney Company owned 3 of the Top 10 most-watched cable nets in Prime in Total Viewers with Disney Channel (No. 3 � 2.2 million), ESPN (No. 6 � 1.8 million) and ABC Family (1.5 million), the most for any media entertainment group this month.

� Following its record setting season 1B premiere, "The Secret Life of the American Teenager" wrapped as cable's No. 1 series for the month in Viewers 12-34 (2.6 million) and Females 12-34 (2.2 million), the No. 1 scripted series in Women 18-34 (911,000) and Women 18-49 (1.4 million). In Teens (1.4 million) and Female Teens (1.3 million), "Secret Life" stood as TV's No. 1 scripted series, behind only Fox's juggernaut "American Idol."

o In its new Monday 8 p.m. time period, season 1B to date, "Secret Life" qualifies as TV's No. 1 program in Females 12-34 and cable's No. 1 program across all key measures, including Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 18-49 and Viewers 12-34.

o Since returning in its new Monday 8 o'clock time period on January 5, "Secret Life" holds the edge over the CW's "Gossip Girl" in head to head action, beating the flagship property by 43% in Total Viewers (4.0 million vs. 2.8 million), by 8% in Women 18-49 (1.4 million vs. 1.3 million) and by 83% in Females 12-34 (2.2 million vs. 1.2 million).

� The movie premiere event of "Another Cinderella Story" (1/18/09, 8:00 � 10:00 p.m.) ranked as January's No. 1 cable movie across all key demos, in particular Total Viewers (5.3 million), Adults 18-34 (1.0 million, tie), Adults 18-49 (1.9 million) and Viewers 12-34 (2.3 million).

o In Females 12-34, ABC Family aired January's Top 7 movies on all TV, led by the debut of "Another Cinderella Story" (1.8 million, 1/18/09, 8:00 p.m.) and namesake "A Cinderella Story" (978,000, 1/18/09, 6:00 p.m.).

� In January 09, ABC Family delivered its 19th consecutive month (dates back to July 07) of year-to-year growth in Prime in Total Viewers (18%; 1.5 million vs. 1.3 million), Adults 18-49 (19%; 650,000 vs. 544,000) and Viewers 12-34 (20%; 654,000 vs. 547,000).

o Impressively, this month marked the fifth time in the past six months the net has posted double-digit percent increases in Viewers and Adults 18-49, and the sixth time in seven months in Viewers 12-34.

o In Adults18-34 (22%; 372,000 vs. 306,000), ABC Family posted the net's 27th straight month of increases in January 09 (dates back to November 06), including by double-digit percentages in six of the previous seven months.

� In Total Day, ABC Family hit January-highs across the board, specifically with Total Viewers (754,000), Adults 18-34 (215,000), Adults 18-49 (357,000) and Viewers 12-34 (359,000).
