CBS WINS ITS 11TH CONSECUTIVE WEEK IN VIEWERS, THE FINAL FULL WEEK OF THE 2008-2009 TELEVISION SEASON

The Two-Hour Season Finale of "Survivor: Tocantins" Places First in Key Measures on Sunday

CBS won the final full week of the season, the Network's 11th consecutive victory in viewers and 28th out of 34, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending May 17, week 34 of the 2008-2009 television season.

CBS had eight of the top 10 scripted programs of the week led by the season's only breakout hit THE MENTALIST. With three days remaining in the season, CBS will finish as the only network to post year-to-year gains in all key measures: +12% in viewers, +3% in adults 18-49 and +8% in adults 25-54.

For the week in viewers: CBS (11.15m), ABC (9.41m), FOX (9.02m) and NBC (6.36m). Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.75m), ahead of FOX (9.70m), ABC (8.93m) and NBC (7.88m).

For the week in households: CBS (6.9/12), ABC (6.0/10), FOX (5.3/09) and NBC (4.2/07). Season-to-date, CBS is first (7.3/12), ahead of both ABC and FOX (5.7/09, each) and NBC (4.9/08).

With three days left in the May 2009 sweep, CBS is first in households (6.6/11), viewers (10.64m), tied for first in adults 25-54 (3.5/09, with FOX) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.6/08, with ABC). Compared to last May, CBS is up +2% in households, +5% in viewers and even in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.

For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in adults 25-54 (3.8/10, -0.1 behind FOX) and tied for second in adults 18-49 (2.9/08, with ABC). Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +3% in households, +8% in viewers and +12% in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49. Season-to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.1/10, tie with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (3.1/08).

CBS's Weekly Highlights:

? The season finale of THE BIG BANG THEORY(5.9/10, 9.76m) was second in adults 18-49 (3.7/11) and adults 18-34 (2.6/09). Compared to last week, THE BIG BANG THEORY was up +2% in households (from 5.8/09), +7% in adults 25-54 (4.4/12 from 4.1/11), +9% in adults 18-49 (from 3.4/10), +4% in adults 18-34 (from 2.5/08) and added +510,000 viewers (from 9.25m, +6%).

? CSI: MIAMI was first in households (8.7/15), viewers (13.59m), adults 25-54 (5.0/12) and adults 18-49 (3.9/11).

? THE MENTALIST was first in households (10.1/15), viewers (16.21m), second in adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and delivered a 3.3/09 in adults 18-49.

? WITHOUT A TRACE was first in households (8.8/15), viewers (13.40m), second in adults 25-54 (3.8/09) and adults 18-49 (2.8/07). Compared to last week, WITHOUT A TRACE was up +14% in households (from 7.7/13), +6% in adults 25-54 (from 3.6/09), +8% in adults 18-49 (from 2.6/07) and added +1.57m viewers (from 11.83m, +13%).

? SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS was first in households (7.0/12), viewers (12.18m), adults 25-54 (4.7/13) and adults 18-49 (3.8/12). Compared to last week, SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS was even each in households, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 and added +190,000 viewers (from 11.99m, +2%).

-- Sunday, CBS was first in viewers (11.96m), adults 25-54 (4.4/11), tied for first in households (6.7/11, with ABC) and second in adults 18-49 (3.5/10, -0.1 behind ABC). CBS won 12 consecutive Sundays in viewers.

? 60 MINUTES was first in households (6.4/12), viewers (10.19m), second in adults 25-54 (2.2/07) and adults 18-49 (1.5/05). Compared to last Sunday, 60 MINUTES was up +2% in households (from 6.3/13), +5% in adults 25-54 (from 2.1/07), even in adults 18-49 and added +100,000 viewers (from 10.09m, +1%).

? SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS FINALE (S) (8:00-10:08 PM) delivered a 7.0/11 with 12.94m viewers, 5.2/12 in adults 25-54 and 4.2/11 in adults 18-49. CBS was first in these measures from 8:00-10:00 PM.

? SURVIVOR: TOCANTINS REUNION SPECIAL (S) (10:08-11:00 PM) was second in households (6.4/11), viewers (11.59m), adults 25-54 (4.8/11) and adults 18-49 (4.1/10) in the 10:00-11:00 PM hour.
