Sunday's telecast on NBC of "The 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards" tied for the #2 primetime telecast of the week on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 (tied with CBS's "Big Bang Theory" and behind Fox's Saturday primetime NFL telecast, rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows), while tying for #1 among non-sports programs for the week on those networks. The "Golden Globes" also ranked #1 outright among non-sports primetime programs on ABC, NBC, CBS and Fox in adults 18-34 and women 18-34, 18-49 and 25-54.

The 6.4 rating for the "Golden Globes" in 18-49 equals the highest for any non-sports primetime telecast on ABC, CBS, NBC or Fox since ABC's "Academy Awards" telecast on February 26, 2012.

Also ranking among the top primetime programs of the week on those networks in 18-49 were Monday's "Biggest Loser," tied for #16; Wednesday's "Chicago Fire," tied for #23; Thursday's "The Office," tied for #23; and Wednesday's "Law & Order: SVU," tied for #25. Rankings exclude sports pre- and post-game shows.

For the season to date, NBC ranks #1 in adults 18-49 with a 20 percent increase over its year-ago rating (with a 3.0 versus last year's 2.5). It's the first time in nine years NBC has ranked #1 outright at this point in the season. NBC's lead of 0.3 of a rating point so far this season (3.0 vs. 2.7 for #2 CBS) matches the biggest for any network at this point in the season in 10 years (since NBC led by 0.6 of a point at this time during the 2002-03 season).

In total viewers, NBC is up this season versus one year ago by 17 percent (8.7 million vs. 7.4 million). NBC is ahead of its year-ago season averages by double-digit percentages in every key ratings category.
