'DATELINE NBC' REPORTS A SUNDAY SEASON HIGH IN TOTAL VIEWERS

UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 26, 2013 - NBC has delivered a 1.2 rating, 3 share in adults 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall for the primetime ratings week of March 18-24, according to "live plus same day" viewing data from Nielsen Media Research.

NBC's top show of the week was Monday's season finale of "The Biggest Loser," which averaged a 2.7 rating in adults 18-49 to top the show's prior finale by 23 percent and its result of one week earlier by 35 percent.

Primetime averages for the week of March 18-24 in adults 18-49 are: CBS, 2.1/6; Fox, 1.9/6; ABC, 1.8/5; NBC, 1.2/3; and CW, 0.6/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 8.4 million; ABC, 7.5 million; Fox, 5.9 million; NBC, 4.2 million; and CW, 1.4 million.

Season to date averages through eight weeks are: CBS, 3.0/8; Fox, 2.6/7; NBC, 2.4/7; ABC, 2.3/6; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 12.2 million; ABC, 7.8 million; NBC, 7.1 million; Fox, 7.1 million; and CW, 1.8 million.

NBC highlights for the week of March 18-24

Monday: The season finale of "The Biggest Loser 14" (2.7 rating, 7 share in adults 18-49, 7.4 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET) jumped 23 percent versus last year's finale in adults 18-49 (with a 2.7 rating vs. last year's 2.2 on Tuesday, May 1, 2012 from 8-9 p.m. ET) and was up 3 percent in total viewers (7.4 million vs. 7.2 million). The 7.4 million is the biggest overall audience for "Biggest Loser" since December 13, 2011, and the 2.7 rating is also the highest for the show since that same date, excluding this season's special Sunday premiere on January 6.

Versus the prior week, "Biggest Loser" was up 35 percent in 18-49 rating (2.7 vs. 2.0) and up 31 percent in total viewers (7.4 million vs. 5.6 million).

The season finale of "Deception" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 3.4 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew week to week by 9 percent in 18-49 rating (1.2 vs. 1.1) to equal its top rating in the eight weeks since January 21. In total viewers, "Deception" generated its biggest overall audience in the seven weeks since January 28.

Tuesday: "Betty White's Off Their Rockers" (1.0/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall at 8 p.m. ET and 1.1/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall at 8:30) jumped week to week by 0.2 of a rating point at both 8 (versus an encore the prior week) and 8:30 (versus an original), despite this week's debut in the hour of ABC's "Splash."

"Smash" (0.8/2 in 18-49, 2.6million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew from its first half-hour to its second by 14 percent in adults 18-49 (to a 0.8 rating from a 0.7), 11 percent in adults 25-54 (1.0 vs. 0.9) and 9 percent in total viewers (2.8 million vs. 2.6 million), while rival dramas on ABC and CBS declined half-hour to half-hour in all three categories.

Wednesday: The first original telecast in three weeks of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.5/4 in adults 18-49, 5.5 million viewers overall at 9 p.m. ET) matched the 18-49 rating of its prior original telecast and equaled the show's top rating since January 30. In total viewers, "SVU" was up by 1 percent versus the prior telecast of three weeks earlier (5.5 million vs. 5.4 million).

"Chicago Fire" (1.7/5 in adults 18-49, 6.3 million viewers overall at 10 p.m. ET) ranked #2 the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, tied for #1 in adults 18-34 and was #1 outright among those networks in men 18-34.

Thursday: An encore telecast of "Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew versus the prior week's rebroadcast in this time period by 22 percent in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.9). "SVU" matched its highest 18-49 rating among six encores aired in this time period so far this season and hit a high in total viewers.

"Community" (1.1/4 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall at 8 p.m. ET) jumped week to week by 14 percent in total viewers (3.0 million vs. 2.6 million) and held steady in 18-49 rating.

Friday: "Grimm" (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.0 million viewers overall at 9 p.m. ET) tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in 18-49. "Grimm" built on its lead-in by 100 percent in 18-49 rating and 75 percent in total viewers.

"Fashion Star" (0.7/2 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall at 8 p.m. ET) grew week to week by 4 percent in total viewers (2.9 million vs. 2.7 million). This week's "Fashion Star" increased from its first half-hour to its second by 11 percent in women 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.9) and by 33 percent in women 18-34 (0.8 vs. 0.6).

"Rock Center with Brian Williams" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 3.7 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) grew week to week by 33 percent in both 18-49 rating (to a 0.8 from a 0.6) and total viewers (3.7 million vs. 2.8 million).

Sunday: "Dateline NBC" (1.1/3 in 18-49, 6.1 million viewers overall from 7-9 p.m. ET) reported a season high for a Sunday edition in total viewers. "Dateline" was up week to week in total viewers by 9 percent (6.1 million vs. 5.6 million).

"All-Star Celebrity Apprentice" (1.6/4 in 18-49, 5.2 million viewers overall from 9-11 p.m. ET) tied for #1 for its second hour from 10-11 p.m. among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 (with a 1.6 rating from 10-11 vs. a 1.6 for CBS's "Good Wife" overrun and "The Mentalist") and was #1 outright among those networks in 18-49 from 10:30-11 p.m.
