In addition, the ABC unscripted series was Monday's #2 TV show with viewers and young adults, behind only CBS' Under the Dome. Gaining week to week in viewers (+8%) and young adults (+6%), The Bachelorette marked its most-watched telecast this season and its 2nd highest number with Adults 18-49.

Building in Total Viewers (+11%) and Adults 18-49 (+9%) to deliver 4-week highs, ABC's Mistresses beat out NBC's Siberia in the 10 o'clock hour by wide margins on both measures (+48%/+20%). Up over original programming on the year-ago night, the new drama continued to improve its hour year to year by double-digits in viewers (+43%) and young adults (+20%).

A note about increasing DVR penetration and year-to-year rating comparisons: Year-to-year rating comparisons based on the Live + Same Day data stream are distorted by the level of DVR penetration in the Nielsen sample, which has jumped up to 48% currently, from 45% at the same point in 2012. More viewers are watching shows on their own timetables, which may not be reflected in the overnight next day numbers. The only truly valid year-to-year comparison would be one based on the Live + 7 Day metric, once those stats are released by Nielsen.
