"Under the Dome" Tops Week in Viewers; CBS Places First in Adults 18-49 for First Time in July Since 2005

CBS Places First in 18-49 for the First Time in a July Week Since 2005

Posts Year-to-Year Growth in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54

Network Has Six of the Top 10 Programs in Viewers and Five of the Top 10 In Adults 18-49, Including "Under the Dome" and All Three Editions of "Big Brother"

CBS Also First for the Week in Viewers and Adults 25-54

UNDER THE DOME was the week's #1 broadcast in viewers for the third consecutive week, leading CBS to an across-the-board weekly win, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending July 14.

CBS placed first adults 18-49 (tie) for the first time in a July week since 2005, as well as first in viewers and adults 25-54.

The Network has six of the top 10 programs in viewers and five of the top10 in adults 18-49, including UNDER THE DOME and all three editions of BIG BROTHER.

For the week in viewers: CBS (5.34m), NBC (4.69m), ABC (3.75m) and FOX (3.24m).

For the week in key demographics, CBS was first in adults 25-54 (1.6/05) and tied for first in adults 18-49 (1.2/04). This is the first time CBS placed first in viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 in July since the week ending July 31, 2005.

Compared to the same week last year, CBS was up +7% in adults 25-54 and +9% in adults 18-49.

CBS Weekly Highlights:

UNDER THE DOME was first in viewers (10.71m), adults 25-54 (3.5/09) and adults 18-49 (2.7/08) and was the night's #1 program in these measures.

BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was second in viewers (5.95m), adults 25-54 (2.5/08, -0.1 behind FOX) and adults 18-49 (2.0/07). Compared to last week, BIG BROTHER WEDNESDAY was up, +19% in adults 25-54 (from 2.1/07), +18% in adults 18-49 (from 1.7/07) and added +530,000 viewers (from 5.42m, +10%).

BIG BROTHER THURSDAY (P) (9:01-10:01 PM) was first in viewers (6.18m), tied for first with FOX in adults 18-49 (2.1/07) and second in adults 25-54 (2.5/07, -0.1 behind FOX).

BIG BROTHER SUNDAY (8:20-9:20 PM) posted 6.27m viewers, 2.5/07 in adults 25-54 and 2.1/07 in adults 18-49. From 8:30-9:30 PM, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was first in these measures. Compared to last Sunday, BIG BROTHER SUNDAY was even in adults 18-49 and added +20,000 viewers (from 6.25m).

THE AMERICAN BAKING COMPETITION (3.1/05, 4.83m), with its season finale, was up compared to last week by +7% in adults 25-54 (1.6/04 from 1.5/05), even in adults 18-49 (1.1/03) and added +130,000 viewers (from 4.70m, +3%).
