UNIVERSAL CITY, Calif. - March 25, 2014 - Led by "The Voice" and "The Blacklist," which accounted for three of the top five adult 18-49 ratings among all primetime programs on the Big 4 networks last week, NBC has finished #2 among those nets for the week of March 17-23, with a 33% increase in 18-49 and a 53% jump in total viewers versus NBC's averages for the same week last year. According to "live plus same day" viewing figures from Nielsen Media Research, NBC averaged a 1.6 rating, 5 share in adults 18-49 and 6.3 million viewers overall for the week, up from its year-ago 1.2 rating in 18-49 and 4.2 million viewers overall.

NBC has now ranked #1, tied for #1 or #2 among the Big 4 nets in 18-49 for each of the last seven weeks in a row (including Olympic weeks), up from #4 finishes among those nets for all seven of those weeks one year ago.

For the March 17-23 week, NBC was up versus the same week last year by more than 25% in every key ratings measure.

The Monday and Tuesday editions of "The Voice" ranked #1 and #2 among the week's primetime programs on the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49, with Monday's "Blacklist" finishing #5, "About a Boy" tying for #17, "Chicago Fire" tying for #23 and "Growing Up Fisher" tying for #25.

Between them, the two editions of "The Voice" accounted for the #1 rating of the week on the Big 4 in adults, men and women 18-49; adults, men and women 25-54; adults 18-34, teens 12-17 and kids 2-11.

Through 26 weeks of the season, NBC ranks #1 among ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 (tie), all key adult-female demos and other key measures. It's the first time NBC has ranked #1 in 18-49 this late in the season in 10 years (since the 2003-04 season).

NBC's 3.0 rating in adults 18-49 is the network's top average at this point in the season in six years (since a 3.0 in 2007-08). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 25% season to date in adults 18-49 (3.0 vs. 2.4).

In total viewers, NBC ranks #2 for the season with an average of 10.0 million viewers, which is its biggest overall audience 26 weeks into the season in nine years (since 2004-05, 10.1 million). Versus one year ago, NBC is up 40% season to date in total viewers (10.0 million vs. 7.2 million).

Primetime averages for the week of March 17-23 in adults 18-49 are: CBS, 1.8/6; NBC, 1.6/5; ABC, 1.5/5; Fox, 1.3/4; and CW, 0.7/2. In overall total viewers, the weekly averages were: CBS, 7.9 million; ABC, 6.4 million; NBC, 6.3 million; Fox, 4.3 million; and CW, 1.7 million.

Season-to-date averages are: NBC, 3.0/9; Fox, 2.7/8; CBS, 2.4/7; ABC, 2.1/6; and CW, 0.8/2. In overall total viewers, the season averages are: CBS, 10.8 million; NBC, 10.0 million; Fox, 7.9 million; ABC, 7.5 million; and CW, 1.9 million.

NBC highlights for the week of March 17-23:

Monday: NBC dominated Monday in 18-49 among the Big 4 networks, taking 6 of 6 half-hours and winning the night by a 57% margin (with a 3.6 rating vs. ABC's second-place 2.3). NBC won the night among those networks in every key demo.

"The Voice" (4.1 rating, 12 share in adults 18-49, 13.5 million viewers overall from 8-10:01 p.m. ET,) jumped week to week by 0.4 of a point or 11% in adults 18-49 (to a 4.1 rating from a 3.7), to rank #1 for the time period among the Big 4 networks by a 58% margin over ABC's "Dancing With the Stars" premiere (4.1 vs. 2.6). "The Voice" also outdelivered CBS's comedy block by 86% (4.1 vs.2.2) and Fox's dramas by 193% (4.1 vs. 1.4). "The Voice" won the time period among the Big 4 in all other key demographics. "The Voice" was the #1 telecast of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49.

"The Blacklist" (2.7/8 in adults 18-49, 11.0 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) matched its prior telecast in 18-49 (2.7 vs. 2.7 on March 3), to dominate the time period by a 50% margin among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49 (2.7 vs. 1.8 for ABC's #2 "Castle"). "The Blacklist" was also #1 in the hour among those nets in every other key measure. "The Blacklist" equaled its second-best 18-49 rating since Dec. 2, trailing over that span only a 3.1 on Feb. 24.

L+7 Time-Shifting: The March.3 "Blacklist" grew by 5.9 million viewers in "live plus seven day" results (to 16.9 million from 11.0 million) and was up 72%or 1.93 rating points in 18-49 (to a 4.62 from a 2.69).

Tuesday: NBC won a record-setting 18th Tuesday in 18-49 this season among the Big 4 nets, marking NBC's most in-season Tuesday wins among those networks in People Meter history.

"The Voice 6" (3.6/11 in 18-49, 13.3 million viewers overall from 8-9:01 p.m. ET) ranked #1 for the night in 18-49 and finished #1 in its time period among the Big 4 networks in every key demographic. Versus the prior week, "The Voice" as up 3% in 18-49 rating. "The Voice" was #1 in the hour among the Big 4 nets by a 50% margin (3.6 vs. 2.4 or CBS's #2 "NCIS").

"About a Boy" (2.1/6 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall from 9:01-9:31 p.m. ET) grew 5% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 2.1 rating from a 2.0) and was up 2% in total viewers (7.6 million vs. 7.5 million). In the time period, "About a Boy" finished within a 0.2 of a rating point of #1 in adults 18-49 among the Big 4 nets (2.1 vs. 2.3 for CBS's "NCIS: LA") and was #1 among those nets in adults, men and women 18-34.

"Growing Up Fisher" (1.8/5 in 18-49, 6.6 million viewers overall from 9:31-10 p.m. ET) grew 6% versus the prior week in adults 18-49 (to a 1.8 rating from a 1.7) and was up in total viewers by 4% (6.6 million vs. 6.3 million). This week's "Growing Up Fisher" retained 86% of its lead-in from "About a Boy" in adults 18-49.

"Chicago Fire" (1.9/6 in 18-49, 7.0 million viewers overall from 10-11 .p.m. ET) won the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 and matched the show's highest 18-49 rating since Jan. 7. It was the fifth consecutive "Chicago Fire" telecast to match or top its prior telecast in adults 18-49 and the fifth straight to finish #1 or tied for #1 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in 18-49.

Wednesday: "Revolution" averaged a 1.2/4 in adults 18-49 and 4.3 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET. "Revolution" retained 92% of the prior week's 18-49 rating (1.2 vs. 1.3) and overall viewership (4.3 million vs. 4.6 million). L+3 Time-Shifting: "Revolution" grew by 49% in L+3 versus these L+SD figures (to a 1.80 rating from a 1.21).

"Law & Order: Special Victims Unit" (1.5/5 in adults 18-49, 5.8 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) grew from half-hour to half-hour by 7% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.6 rating from a 1.5), 5% in adults 25-54 (2.0 vs. 1.9) and 11% in total viewers (6.1 million vs. 5.5 million). "SVU" built on its lead-in by 25% in adults 18-49 and 37% in total viewers. L+3 Time-Shifting: "SVU" grew by 56% in L+3 versus these L+SD figures in 18-49 (to a 2.41 rating from a 1.54).

"Chicago P.D." (1.4/4 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) retained 93% of its 18-49 lead-in from "SVU" and 99% of its total-viewer lead-in. From its first half-hour to its second, "Chicago P.D." held steady in adults 18-49 (1.4 rating vs. a 1.4) and adults 25-54 (1.9 vs. 1.9), and was up 10% in women 25-54 (2.3 vs. 2.1),despite the 10 p.m. hour. L+3 Time-Shifting: "Chicago P.D." grew in L+3 by 55% in 18-49 (to a 2.18 from a 1.41).

Thursday: "Community" (1.1/4 in adults 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 8-8:30 p.m. ET) rose to its highest 18-49 rating since Jan. 30, while in total viewers, it was the top "Community" since Jan. 9. Week to week, "Community" was up 10% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 1.0) and up 20% in total viewers (3.3 million vs. 2.8 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 6 "Community" grew in L+7 by 43% or 0.43 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.42 from a 0.99).

"Parks and Recreation" (1.2/4 in 18-49, 3.0 million viewers overall from 8:30-9:01 p.m. ET) matched its rating of the prior week in adults 18-49 and grew 12% in total viewers (3.0 million vs. 2.7 million) to deliver its biggest audience since Jan. 6. In the time period, "Parks" ranked #2 among the Big 4 networks in adults 18-49 and tied for #2 in adults 18-34, within a tenth of a rating point of #1 among those networks in 18-34. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 6 "Parks and Recreation" grew in L+7 by 43% or 0.43 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 1.82 from a 1.27).

An encore telecast of "Hollywood Game Night" (0.9/3 in 18-49, 2.9 million viewers overall from 9:01-10 p.m.) finished within a tenth of a rating point of the prior week's original in 18-49 (0.9 vs. 1.0) and within 1% in total viewers (2.871 million vs. 2.891 million).

"Parenthood" (1.3/4 in 18-49, 4.2 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) grew 8% versus the prior week's 1.2 rating in 18-49 to equal the show's high since Oct. 3 during the second week of the season. In total viewers, "Parenthood" was up 9% (4.2 million vs. 3.9 million) to the biggest "Parenthood" overall audience since Jan. 23. "Parenthood" ranked #2 in the time period among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49, adults 25-54 and total viewers. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 6 "Parenthood" grew in L+7 by 86% or 1.03 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 2.23 from a 1.20) and by 2.5 million viewers overall (to 6.3 million from 3.8 million).

Friday: "Dateline NBC" (1.4/5 in 18-49, 7.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) ranked #1 among the Big 4 nets in the time period in adults 18-49, adults 25-54, adults 18-34 and total viewers. "Dateline" grew from its first half-hour to its second in all key measures, including gains of 25% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.5 rating from a 1.2), 22% in adults 25-54 (2.2 vs. 1.8) and 26% in women 25-54 (2.9 vs. 2.3). "Dateline NBC" jumped 27% week to week in adults 18-49 (to a 1.4 rating from a 1.1), 25% in adults 25-54 (2.0 vs. 1.6) and 24% in total viewers (7.6 million vs. 6.1 million). In total viewers, it was the top "Dateline" since Jan. 3.

"Grimm" (1.5/5 in 18-49, 5.7 million viewers overall from 9-10:01 p.m. ET) was the #1 scripted series of the night on ABC, CBS, NBC and Fox in adults 18-49 and captured its top total-viewer result since Jan. 24. Week to week, "Grimm" was up 7% in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 5.4 million). Versus its results for the same night last year, "Grimm" was up 7% in 18-49 rating (1.5 vs. 1.4) and up 14% in total viewers (5.7 million vs. 5.0 million). L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 7 "Grimm" increased by 75% going from these next-day L+SD ratings to L+7 (to a 2.56 from a 1.46).

"Hannibal" (0.9/3 in 18-49 and 2.7 million viewers overall from 10:01-11 p.m. ET) matched its week-ago rating in 18-49 and was up a tenth of a point versus two weeks ago. In total viewers, "Hannibal" was up 10% week to week (2.7 million vs. 2.5 million) to its second biggest audience among four telecasts this season, behind only the show's Feb. 28 season premiere. L+7 Time-Shifting: The March 7 "Hannibal" grew by 72% going from its next-day L+SD rating to L+7 (to a 1.41 from a 0.82).

Saturday: "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" (0.8/3 in 18-49, 5.4 million viewers overall) was the #1 non-sports telecast in the time period among the Big 4 nets in adults 18-49 and all other key measures. From its first half-hour to its fourth, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" grew by 83% in 18-49 rating (to a 1.1 from a 0.6), 78% in adults 25-54 (to a 1.6 rating from a 0.9) and 55% or 2.2 million persons in total viewers (6.3 million vs. 4.1 million). In its three weeks on the schedule, "Dateline Saturday Night Mystery" has generated NBC's three top total-viewer results in the time period, excluding sports, of the past three years (since March 5, 2011).

A rebroadcast of the prior Sunday's "Crisis" premiere (0.7/2 in 18-49, 3.9 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) tied for #2 in the hour among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 1849, behind only basketball-boosted CBS. From half-hour to half-hour, the "Crisis" encore maintained or increased its rating in every key demo, despite the 10 p.m. hour, including gains of 14% in adults 18-49 (to a 0.8 rating from a 0.7) and 10% in adults 25-54 (1.1 vs. 1.0).

Sunday: An encore telecast of "The Voice" (0.8/2 in 18-49, 3.3 million viewers overall from 7-8 p.m. ET) held steady or grew half-hour to half-hour in every key measure.

The debut of "American Dream Builders" (0.9/2 in 18-49, 3.6 million viewers overall from 8-9 p.m. ET) built on its lead-in by 13% in adults 18-49 and by 8% in total viewers. "American Dream Builders" grew half-hour to half-hour in every key measure, with gains of 25% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.0 rating from a 0.8), 20% in adults 25-54 (1.2 vs. 1.0) and 17% in women 25-54 (1.4 vs. 1.2).

"Believe" (1.2/3 in 18-49, 5.1 million viewers overall from 9-10 p.m. ET) grew versus its lead-in by 33% in 18-49 rating and 42% in total viewers. "Believe" held steady or grew from half-hour to half-hour in every key measure. L+3 Time-Shifting: The prior week's "Believe" regular-slot debut grew in L+3 by 46% or 0.68 of a rating point in 18-49 (to a 2.15 from a 1.47) and was up by 2.2 million viewers overall (8.8 million vs. 6.6 million).

"Crisis" (1.3/3 in 18-49 and 5.1 million viewers overall from 10-11 p.m. ET) built on its 18-49 lead-in by 8% in adults 18-49. In the time period, "Crisis" finished within 0.2 of a rating point of #1 among ABC, CBS and NBC in adults 18-49 (with a 1.3 rating vs. a 1.5 for ABC's "Revenge"), narrowing a deficit to ABC in the prior hour of 1.3 rating points. For the hour, "Crisis" tied for #1 in men 18-49 (1.1) and was #1 outright among those nets in men 25-54 (1.6). From half-hour to half-hour, "Crisis" held steady or was up in every key measure, despite the 10 p.m. hour, with gains of 8% in adults 18-49 (to a 1.3 rating from a 1.2) and 6% in adults 25-54 (1.8 vs. 1.7).
