Monday's Broadcast Ratings: NBA Finals Close Out on Top for ABC

Here are the highlights of the 15 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks last night (6/12/17):

ABC (17.309 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.3, #1) scored a monster victory on Monday with its mix of "Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night" (11.155 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.4, #3), "NBA Countdown" (12.975 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 4.4, #2) and "NBA Finals, Game 5" (19.932 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 7.5, #1).

NBC (4.730 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.2, #2) then was a distant second with the return of "American Ninja Warrior" (5.343 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.4, #4) and "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge" (3.504 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5).

Next up was FOX (3.103 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.8, #3) with the season premieres of "So You Think You Can Dance" (3.584 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.9, #T5) and "Superhuman" (2.624 million viewers, #12; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7).

Meanwhile, CBS (3.830 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.5, #4) opted for repeats of "Kevin Can Wait" (4.196 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T7), "Man with a Plan" (3.967 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9), "Mom" (4.117 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.6, #T9), "Life in Pieces" (3.546 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11) and "Scorpion" (3.576 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.5, #T11).

And finally, a repeat "Supergirl" (1.053 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13), a new "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.948 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) and a second "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (0.931 million viewers, #15; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) rounded out the evening on The CW (0.996 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 0.3, #5).

· In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, adult 18-49 results were: "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon," 0.6/3; "Late Show," 0.4/2; and "Jimmy Kimmel Live," delayed by NBA basketball.

· From 12:35-1:05 a.m. ET, ABC's "Nightline" was delayed by NBA basketball.

· From 12:35-1:35 a.m. ET, ratings were: "Late Night with Seth Meyers," 1.0/3 in metered-market households; CBS's "Late Late Show," 1.1/4. In the 25 markets with Local People Meters, averages were: "Late Night," 0.4/3 in 18-49; "Late Late Show," 0.2/2.

· At 1:35 a.m., "Last Call with Carson Daly" averaged a 0.5/2 in metered-market households with an encore and a 0.2/2 in adults 18-49 in the 25 markets with local people meters.


Here are the highlights of the 14 ad-sustained programs that aired in primetime on the broadcast networks one year ago (6/13/16):

ABC (14.131 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 5.1, #1) was the top draw on Monday with its mix of "Jimmy Kimmel: Game Night" (9.965 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 3.0, #3), "NBA Countdown" (10.213 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 3.5, #2) and "NBA Finals, Game 5" (16.152 million viewers, #1; adults 18-49: 6.0, #1).

NBC (6.181 million viewers, #2; adults 18-49: 1.8, #2) then was king of the leftovers with the relocated "American Ninja Warrior" (6.838 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 1.9, #4) and the launch of "Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge" (4.866 million viewers, #5; adults 18-49: 1.5, #5).

Next up was CBS (4.361 million viewers, #3; adults 18-49: 0.7, #3) with repeats of "Mom" (4.746 million viewers, #6; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6), "2 Broke Girls" (4.142 million viewers, #9; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6) and "Scorpion" (4.155 million viewers, #8; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9) followed by the premiere of "BrainDead" (4.483 million viewers, #7; adults 18-49: 0.7, #T9).

Meanwhile, FOX (2.630 million viewers, #4; adults 18-49: 0.6, #4) offered up originals from "So You Think You Can Dance" (3.453 million viewers, #10; adults 18-49: 0.8, #T6) and "Houdini & Doyle" (1.807 million viewers, #11; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11).

And finally, new episodes of "Reign" (0.957 million viewers, #14; adults 18-49: 0.3, #T13) and "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" (1.120 million viewers, #13; adults 18-49: 0.4, #T11) plus a repeat "Whose Line Is It Anyway?"
