DESCRIPTION:
(from Travel Channel's press release, August 2012) In season two of "Making Monsters," viewers go behind-the-scenes and on the road with Distortions Unlimited, the Colorado-based "haunt industry" animatronic and prop-making company run by Ed & Marsha Edmunds. The series, featuring ten one-hour episodes, follows the Edmunds and their staff - including renowned Hollywood creature and mask maker Jordu Schell - as they create some of the scariest new animatronics and frightronics the world has ever seen. This season, Distortions is tasked with some of the most unusual and challenging projects to date, including a red-eyed, smoke-breathing tiki for a haunt on the Hawaiian island of Oahu and a creepy, spitting, twisting centipede for Atlanta's premiere haunt, Netherworld. Additionally, the team creates an iconic stage mask for the rock band Megadeth, along with a 25-foot skeleton for an outdoor Baltimore attraction and a larger-than-life custom-made Gatekeeper for Hollywood legend Dick Van Dyke's southern California home haunt, to name a few! "Making Monsters" is produced by Warm Springs Productions for Travel Channel. For Warm Springs, the executive producers are Marc Pierce, Chris Richardson, Lisa Tanzer and Nathan Charlan. For Travel Channel, the executive producer is Brian Leonard.
