DESCRIPTION:
(from History's press release, November 2016) HISTORY's fearless survival series "Alone" returns for a ten episode third season, premiering Thursday, December 8 at 9PM ET/PT, followed by the series premiere of the original unscripted series, "The Selection: Special Operations Experiment" at 10PM ET/PT. Immediately following the season three premiere of "Alone," HISTORY debuts its newest unscripted series from executive producer Peter Berg "The Selection: Special Operations Experiment" at 10pm ET/PT. The series places 30 men and women with no military background through an immersive, authentic experience led by veterans of the Navy SEALs, Green Berets and Army Rangers, while offering insight into the origins of these physical and mental challenges. Special Operations units around the globe devise extreme training and assessment exercises in order to find the best of the best. "The Selection: Special Operations Experiment" instructors employ tests such as tear gas, interrogation stimulation and psychological warfare, driving participants to push themselves to the limits of the human body and mind. It will be the ultimate test of self-discovery, physical strength, and mental limitation. This is not a competition series - no cash rewards - only a test against oneself to see if the mind has the will and strength to push the body to complete the challenges.
