Anytime a television series has origins in the comic book world, interest (and expectations) are high and that's definitely the case for The CW's new series, "Arrow," which premieres tonight. Starring Stephen Amell as Oliver Queen, the series follows Queens reintegration into the world after a mysterious five years spent on a secluded island. Thought to be dead, Queen comes back with a quest to fight for justice and also battle personal demons from both the island and within his own family.
One of the treats of the recent Warner Brothers-sponsored set trip to Vancouver was when our Jim Halterman, among other reporters, was given time with Jessica De Gouw, who is currently shooting scenes as The Huntress. The addition of The Huntress to the series has been getting a lot of buzz ever since the character was announced so it was no surprise that De Gouw was close-lipped about details during interview time with her on the "Arrow" set. However, one thing's for sure, The Huntress, whose character name is Helena Bertinelli and won't show up until later in the first crop of episodes, is a fellow vigilante and should provide some great fight sequences, intrigue and, as a potential love interest with Arrow, more than a little sexual tension.
"Arrow" airs Wednesdays at 8:00/7:00c on The CW.
