HBO Max Releases Official Opening Credits Sequence For PEACEMAKER
The First Three Episodes Of The Max Original Series Written And Directed By James Gunn Are Streaming Now
HBO Max has released the opening credits sequence for the Max Original series PEACEMAKER. Set to the song "Do Ya Wanna Taste It" by Wig Wam, the sequence is directed by series writer and director James Gunn and choreographed by Charissa-Lee Barton. It features stars John Cena, Danielle Brooks, Freddie Stroma, Jennifer Holland, Chukwudi Iwuji, Steve Agee, Robert Patrick, Annie Chang, Lochlyn Munro, Nhut Le, Christopher Heyerdahl, Mel Tuck, Rizwan Manji, Elizabeth Faith Ludlow and Dee Bradley Baker (the voice of Eagly).
PEACEMAKER explores the continuing story of the character that John Cena reprises in the aftermath of Gunn's 2021 film "The Suicide Squad" - a compellingly vainglorious man who believes in peace at any cost, no matter how many people he has to kill to get it. The first three episodes of the DC spin-off series premiered THURSDAY, JANUARY 13. One episode will launch weekly thereafter through February 17.
Gunn wrote all eight episodes of PEACEMAKER and directed five, including the first. Gunn, Peter Safran and Matt Miller serve as executive producers on the series, with Cena as co-executive producer. Based on characters from DC, PEACEMAKER is produced by Gunn's Troll Court Entertainment and The Safran Company in association with Warner Bros. Television.
